2nd time here, first since the refurb, what can I say, the chef's table didn't disappoint. Yet again I left feeling epic! We experienced the most amazing service and food! The food was up there with some of the best dishes I have ever eaten! If haven't been here yet, you are truly missing out!!!! P.s make sure you try the peanut butter stout!

After visiting the Sticky Walnut the night before, and consuming a few too many cocktails in the fantastic The Suburbs in Hoole, we continued (with a slight hangover) Nyssa’s birthday celebrations by heading for lunch at The Chef’s Table in the heart of Chester’s city centre. The Chef’s Table is (according to their website) an independent foodie hub, specialising in seasonal food using local produce in a frequently evolving menu, and has recently been garnering excellent reviews recently from all who have visited.

The menu is produce driven – they make a bit deal out of the food being fresh and seasonal and from local suppliers… “very foodie”. More importantly for me, I found the quality of cooking on offer to be quite accomplished.

This place was lovely. A smaller restaurant but the atmosphere was great. The service was fantastic too. Really accommodating for dietary requirements. Had plenty of options and everything we ate was delicious, we were so full but couldn't leave without trying a desert! So worth it. Great value. I was able to book a glass of fizz per person when booking, which was a great surprise for the person's birthday. A very special evening and I can't wait to be back.

We visited for my sisters birthday and had an amazing time. The service was impeccable, very friendly and knowledgeable staff who gave great recommendations. First off the cocktails and wine were really great, we all have different cocktails that were stunning and tasty. Then the food was beautiful, each dish was interesting and delicious. We had lots of nibbles to share, with the stuffed courgette flower and falafel crackers being my favourites. The roast grouse starter was absolutely delicious, as recommended by our server. My main was the duck which was probably the best duck dish I've had at least in a long time. My 2 year old enjoyed eating some of my celeriac roots and absolutely loved the tomato essence that came alongside his tomato dish (with an incredible sorbet). The desserts were also incredible, I had the chocolate fondant which was reminiscent of a sticky toffee pudding but chocolatey it was amazing. I also tried the honey parfait which was equally amazing. Thank you chef's table for the lovely evening! The only note I could think of would be that there was not huge option for vegetarian food with only one choice of main.

First visit to the new location. Lovely setting with very nice furnishings , much more space than previously. Proper bar and waiting area allows you to have a drink before your meal. Food and the drinks were excellent as always.

Delicious Sunday lunch. Three courses for £33 is excellent value for the quality of the food. Cannot recommend enough. The soup is to die for. Yum yum yum!

After attending a stunning event at GROWING@FIELD28, where we were taken on a tour of the fields & poly tunnels, and tasted the most exquisite canapés during the tour. We were wined and dined on the same produce grown at Field28 which is also used at Little Chefs Table (LCT), all of which were outstanding! That was how we found out about LCT. Luckily for us they had a cancellation, so we were able to book. The food again was sublime! The staff and customer service were fab. Only one issue being a table of 8 who thought that no one else in the small restaurant needed to be able to talk. Totally recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lovely menu, attentive staff and so pleased we finally made it to try out the food. It was beautifully cooked and presented. We went at lunch time for the last sitting so was nice and quiet and very good value.

Oh my god! Out of this world! We came for a Sunday lunch. The food was insane. The staff were very lovely and were very knowledgeable of the menu, and the Sommelier recommended a lovely wine! I really recommend the Pad Thai starter, the courgette side with the tomato ricotta, the Stonebass and the triple cooked chips! Really enjoyed the music, do miss the sheer curtains from the old Chefs Table, it feels a little less intimate with everyone peering in.
