Absolutely excellent. The food was delicious and the presentation of it was perfect. The service was happy, fast and friendly, making our evening ten times better. Really comfortable vibe in there as well.
Nice food, lovely, helpful staff. The only downside was when the football was on and the music turned off everywhere would be better if they were able to keep music on the food area and separate football to the drinking area.
Great location not far from the centre of town. Clean, tidy, and welcoming. Would definitely visit again, though!
If you are looking for quick bite to eat or just a drink which isn't going to break the bank, this is the place to go. Moat places in Chester can be expensive but this is much more reasonably priced without compromising on service or atmosphere. Gets lively on Wednesday student nights. Super, super dog friendly too.
Never been here before but after reading varied reviews we decided to give it a try and we are so glad we did. Lovely food and very helpful and friendly staff. Definitely won’t hesitate to go again and will really look forward to it too. Thanks

Food was amazing staff very polite and helpful. I went to eat with my daughter partner and my friend. My mate ordered separately from me and when his food was delayed manager offered him a free drink and some ice cream. She was very apologetic and we had a great time with great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and definitely be returning in the future. Thanks for the amazing experience.
Great little pub near the town hall, market, story house etc.
Good pint of Hells and the G&T is refreshing after a bit of shopping. Didn't have any food but it looked nice and the prices were pretty good. No doubt we'll be back for another drink or two and maybe a bite to eat.
Note there are seats at the far end of the bar, if it looks busy from the outside, so take a look before walking past.
Stunning food. We went with a group , inc different dietary requirements. Lots of veggie options (Vegan Katsu Curry was amazing!).
Burger and Sausage and mash both good. Drinks reasonable price for the area. Heavy downpour caused blackouts but patrons were moved to a lit area. Interesting experience. Nice people
Love the Red Lion. Loz is absolutely amazing always welcoming and service is fab from all the bar staff. Live singer, great drinks for happy hour and lovely tasty fresh food. All round fantastic pub.
