Stopped over for one night and enjoyed a top class evening meal. My husbands fish and chips was certainly a winner. Staff we all friendly, helpful and efficient. Highly recommended for a meal if you are passing through the area.

Never stayed but pop in for lunch, don't do sandwiches but have small bites. Had warm welcome and all staff were friendly and helpful. Nicely decorated, they have maintained some old figures, like fire place, stair case but with moden fresh feel. Large pub / Restaurant with plenty of free parking. Nice menu, some good fish options and they sell full range of drinks including my favourite Boombar. Will visit again, recommend if passing by.

A great located eatery, the interior was plush and warm. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was great, we had Sunday roast, we weren't disappointed by the plate(s). A recommended place to return to, which we will be doing so.

Under new ownership...food was excellent..presented well..served promptly and the quality of all four of our meals was excellent..everybody was happy and said so...as an aside the vinegar used for the fish and chips was to die for...where can I get some!!!

Outstanding afternoon at the Egerton arms. 8 of us ate wonderful meals and we enjoyed drinks in the garden. Two kids with us who were perfectly entertained by the well kept play area. Service was incredible and staff were super friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Two parties travelled 45 mins each to meet here as a half way point and we'll definitely be back.

Went here for a 60th birthday party visiting from Liverpool. Service was top notch, great local ales. Starters of Pate and prawn cocktail with avocado were really good, Mains were Chicken arrabiata for myself and lasagna for the wife. Mine was great though could have been a bit more spicy (that’s just my liking, the food was great) but the wife’s lasagna was not to good, to dry and not enough mince, but the restaurant was great and took it off the bill. I see there have been other reviews mentioning the lasagna, I guess the restaurant needs to look at this dish again. Saying that it would not put us off coming again and I would recommend it to others.

After booking we were looked after by a chap called Guto. He took it upon himself to call us on route from London to Chester to see how our journey was and asked us if we needed anything on arrival. We felt this was five star service and up and above the norm. On arrival, he met us and sorted out drink before showing my wife and I to our room and asked if he could get us anything once again. Great young guy. The room was good, although the ensuite was in need of updating. Coffee machine with many coffee pods in the room as well as teas, water etc. Very comfy bed, clean and spacious. TV had Netflix as well as all the other apps you would expect. The breakfast the following morning was A*** delicious and plentiful. Again the staff couldn’t do enough. Guto Met us again to make sure all was well. We spent two nights there and both nights and breakfasts were excellent. Definitely recommend this place and for a 3* I think it’s 5* treatment. If the ensuite was updated I feel the star rating would be higher. Thanks again Guto for making our stay feel 5*. We will definitely be staying again. Note to manager. Update ensuite and promote Guto as soon as a higher position becomes available. Sir Jus & Clare.
