Staff friendly. Nice seating and atmosphere. Coffee good and at normal price. Feels like a hidden gem. Toilet clean though hand drier not working. Selection of food and cakes.
This coffee shop was recommended to us and it was well worth the visit. We had a bite to eat and it was delicious, the service was good and the shop had a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.
I have visited this little treasure several times now, and always leave feeling extremely satisfied. The staff are always more than pleasant, and can even have a lovely conversation or a little giggle with them, whilst at all times them remaining fully professional. The drinks are great, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is always fantastic. This is my first choice for coffee meets in Chester!
Barista's is the best "Coffee Shop" in the city of Chester.
This "independent" coffee shop is head and shoulders above all of the "corporate" coffee shops, including the other "independent" venues. It is perfectly located near the Cross on Watergate Street (centre of the City). The service is excellent, warm and friendly and the food is very good indeed. But I can safely say that the "hot chocolate" and "carrot cake" are the best. You must visit.
This is one of those coffee shops that for me stand out a little.

Coffee, scones and the hot chocolate were all fantastic alongside lovely service. However the milkshake, dont know what it was, tasted nothing like milk or the flavour I ordered. I was deeply saddened by this.
We had a breakfast toastie and coffee each at The Barista's this morning. Service was really very good indeed. And the food (I know it was only a toastie) was good too. Recommended if you fancy a snack and a coffee in Chester City centre.
Staff were lovely. Gluten free sandwich options are available which is a nice change. Flat white coffee was nice. Toilet needs a lick of paint and a hand dryer that does something
busy, nice food, slightly challenging to learn a sit first then go to order system. OK soup and roll last weekend but after service EXCELLENT. My wallet dropped out of my coat and they took the time to track me down via my cards, and then sent it Recorded Delivery back to me in Scotland (I'd only been down for the weekend). what a great lot. ...
