Service we great, the waitress was friendly. We ordered the curry, sausages and mash, side of veggies and cheesy garlic bread. The side of veggies was underwhelming. The mash tasted like it came out of a packet. The sausages were great. I highly recommend the curry and the cheesy garlic bread. I grabbed the 2 for 1 cocktail which was yummy too.

At the passing of an elderly loved one ,after traveling 160miles through floods n traffic jams stressed n sad ,this place was welcoming staff helpful n polite.sandwiches n filled rolls salad etc were tasty .The atmosphere was friendly .I'm glad I went. I returned home that night feeling better about the whole day, mainly because of the food n calmness in this establishment. The staff were very kind to me .A stranger.💯👍✨✨🏆

We had a wonderful experience here all thanks to Sean, for being so welcoming and hospitable. The service here is 10/10 and the atmosphere feels so homely. The food is amazing too! I hope the photos do it justice, highly recommend to everyone 😊

Great spot with a nice cosy atmosphere & cheap meal/drink deals every day. Usually shows main sports events (football, rugby, etc)

Food service atmosphere spot on ! Great value , lovey food & great staff.
Only let down. ,no bins in men's toilets ." Men Need Bins" due to after effects of prostate cancer & I'm sure other reasons too.

Came in for breakfast with my fiancé and found it to be a really nice and pleasant pub. Prices for breakfast were really reasonable as well. Lady that served us at the bar was friendly. Will call in again if in the area.

Only called in for a pint, good pint of Rev. James, local beer for me in Wales. Meals looked nice, pleasant staff, nice clean pub.

We only popped in for a quick drink. We ended up staying all afternoon, watched footie, had lunch and more drinks!
It is a lovely town pub. Very spacious with a mezzanine floor. Lots of seating and booths. Good for small or large groups. Great for watching sport with lots of TV's and some in booths, which can be reserved.
Tye service was exceptional for a pub. Table service upstairs and very friendly.
Food is also very good. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful find!! Thank you for your hospitality and welcome. Breakfast was delicious and piping hot!!
Being in a motorised wheelchair is difficult enough but I felt that nothing was too much trouble.
When we come to Chester, which is quite often, this will be our first port of call.

Can't resist this place when shopping in the area (Tesco's mainly). Food is excellent - especially when washed down with a Pims Number One! We usually have the sharing platter, but there's a great menu to choose from.

Came in at 18.30 ordered drinks and asked if food was still being served, we were told that it was. Less than 10 minutes later we went to order to be told that the kitchen was closed. Seemed to care more about ending their day sooner than going good customer service, I saw a table of 4 and a table of 6 also get refused food, such a big loss of money for the business due to their 'can't be arsed' attitude. Signs even left outside advertising food being served as we left. This place has such good potential, shame that the staff in the place ruin it. Although I've been here before I probably won't return again and I definitely won't recommend, such a shame. Better service and cheaper food at wetherspoons round the corner!
