Closing, yet another nail in the coffin for decent regular pubs in chester. Heard its being replaced by yet another faceless restaurant. What a sell out.

Interesting pub but, sadly, just about all the draught was unavailable and the Cask Ale was undrinkable.
The girl behind the bar was great but her employers left her with little change and no way to change barrels.
Very poor but she was a star; especially with some very difficult customers.
I don't say this very often but the Doorman was good too..
All 4 stars are for these two; the owners/management are a joke.

This pub is a pleasant suprise. A proper traditional pub. Clean n friendly service. If you like a quiet afernoon pint.....this is the place. Karl O'Neill.
