Don Papa Grande

This place has pretty good Mexican food. We got takeout for my birthday. Other than the food not being hot for obvious reasons, it was tasty. I got enchiladas verse. I liked the chips and salsa. The guacamole was a bit limey. I didn’t care for the white salsa. Tasted like ranch to me. Would eat there again.

We ate at the Don Papa Grande in Chester village of Rte 10. We set in the bar area and a high top table but the seat was really comfortable because it's oversized and has a nice supportive back. I had the Pollo Azteca which was very delicious. One Thin sliced chicken breadt with squash, peppers, onions on tip. I did not get the mushrooms. It was very tasty and filling.My sister had the chicken chimichangas and a mango margarita. Food was delicious we were definitely coming again. Next time I'm going to get the La Mula which is a Moscow mule but made with a tequila in a cute claypot.

This place was always my go to for Mexican..last week I Ordered takeout the cheese was cold with a plastic type texture the rice was hard and overcooked.I had diarrhea for a entire day. My stomach hurt like heck that entire night .They have completely lost my business.I usually order takeout every Friday from them but it's been a month since my last order.I will not be going back here ever

Wow very nice place. Family friendly, service was outstanding and food spectacular. Value was very good for the prices and large amounts of food. Served hot and fresh, the best Mexican food I have had in a good while. Put Don Papa Grande on the top of the best places to eat out. Even saw the staff cleaning the restrooms which also was just as clean as the rest of the restaurant. I am very impressed and will visit again and again. Chester gem for sure.

Went in for a late lunch. Received my beer chips and salsa. After 40 minutes of waiting for my food I ask for my check. They charged me for my meal that I never received. Spent the next 10 minutes waiting for them to figure it out and proving that I never received the food. They refunded the overcharge and apologized. The problem is I tried to get peoples attention with no response. Server never came back to me after my order was placed and the beer was dropped off. The place is not that expensive and the food is average. So you get what you pay for. As a local business owner in the area I will just avoid this restaurant. There was about 4 tables with customers and the staff out numbered the tables being served. I can only imagine if the restaurant was very busy.
