Unexpectedly called in to Chesterfield town centre arriving earlier than expected. The Lilypad is opposite one of the town centre car parks and what a lovely surprise! We called in for breakfast and there was a nice selection of options, wonderful coffee and a very pleasant service which was both prompt and efficient without loosing anything of the personal touch. We enjoyed our breakfast, price was good and we will definitely go again.

Went in for a quick brunch after googling a place for pancakes. What a find. Decor is simple, with a homely feel. Service was prompt and friendly. Prices were fair and the food quality was fantastic. Could have easily walked out with all their cakes to boot! If you're in the area for breakfast, brunch or lunch I would highly recommend checking out the Lilypad Café

First time of visiting the Lilypad. Very welcoming and friendly service. Fantastically innovative menu, very reasonably priced. Superbly cooked and well presented and tasted delicious.
Sadly, the toilets were a major letdown, clearly not being properly cleaned for some time. This would otherwise be a 5* rating.
However I would still return to the Lilypad and would recommend it.

Called for a coffee and ordered the steak burger which tasted fantastic. Shame it didn't come with a few chips or something the burger is by itself but is fully filled.
Also I like my coffee hot and the latte served was hotter than warm but I felt I had to drink it reasonably quickly before it was down warm.

A delightful place to eat... clean and airy and really busy. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I asked for something on the menu, but wanted it changing a little bit.. they obliged without any questions.....the food was delicious.
This was my first visit..... I wasn't sure what to expect from the look of the outside..... I will definitely visit again.

Just got back from here and we both agree we have just had the best meal we have ever had. The 14oz rib eye was out of this world as were the chips and onion ring's. The restaurant is lovely and there was an acoustic guitarist playing who was superb and helped make the evening even more special. If we could give it more than five stars we would. Once again thank you to all the staff who are so friendly. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
