Fabulous fish and chips and the best battered sausage I've ever had, and that's saying a lot cos I'm from Bradford Loved the chilled out atmosphere The staff were friendly and attentive Will be going back the next time I'm in Chesterfield and can definitely recommend it

The food was perfect. As good or better than going to the seafront. Perfectly cooked crispy and soft chips, with amazing fresh fish, really good size as well. Was a little noisy for a quiet meal, but it's definitely the place for a family outing or a couple. We are definitely going back and becoming regulars.

Fish and chips is always exceptional at Chesters which is why we keep coming back for our (sometimes) weekly treat. The staff are exceptional and the service is fantastic and even when there is a queue, they seem to remember us and even remember our regular order that can switch between plaice or haddock depending on what I am in the mood for 😋 Thank you everyone at Chesters!

First visit to Chesters last night and I can see why there are so many positive reviews! The gluten free batter was perfect. Very crispy and a pleasant change from the usual gluten free batter we see in other establishments. They could even offer a vegan mayo to my wife when we asked who is intolerant to egg. Above and beyond! Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Would highly recommend a visit to anyone but particularly for their gluten free choices which were amazing. Keep up the good work!

Excellent eatery for fish and chips. They have extended their fare to kebabs and similar which, although not tried, seems to look good.
The fish and chips with all the accoutrements is of the best quality and taste. Service and atmosphere is great with a family dining experience. If I had to give a (unfair?) gripe over the last few years it would be that the fish portions were much bigger in the past but now more pedestrian.

This plane is lovely, great atmosphere and very clean good music on too. Value for money can tell it's all fresh cooked and fresh fish..the two ladies in today was both lovely couldn't do enough for us. Our server was Debbie this plane should be so happy of great staff.

The whitebait was superb, and those who had the ice-cream sundaes said they were the best they had ever tasted. The service was slow and we had to wait a long time for the bill but they were very busy. All in all we enjoyed it very much.

Dined here on 2nd June 2023 to celebrate my wife's birthday.
We've eaten here several times before and have never been disappointed. Food is excellent, served hot in good portions and the staff are friendly and attentive but professional. We were able to enjoy a relaxing meal as usual. Definitely in our top 3 places to eat in the local area.

Our meal and drinks cost around £78. Generous portions, absolutely delicious food. The staff was very friendly and understanding of my autistic child who can be a bit difficult in restaurants. They were very patient and calm. Especially the dark haired lady. She was lovely. I would definitely eat there again. Probably the best fish and chips I've ever had. There is a kids playground towards the back. They also have a.pensioners discount day. Highly recommended.
