I feel bad for not reviewing this after each visit because we've been several times since it opened and it gets better every time. The staff are super friendly but the food is incredible. We often go for the Turkish sausage starter but their fresh bread with Turkish salsa and tzatziki is so good if you've got the appetite for it! The chicken and halloumi shish is my favourite. We've been given a complimentary rice pudding at the end a couple of times which has also been lovely. It's generally a quiet restaurant from our experience which makes for a refreshing change and a nice release after a busy day. Highly recommended!

Everything about this restaurant was fantastic. Immaculately clean. Service was so friendly and attentive. The food was incredible. I’m not a big fan of aubergine or lamb but it was part of a set menu for two and it was absolutely delicious. Meat was tender and each item was flavoured differently but subtly and complimented everything else on the platter. The lamb converted me, so tender and cooked to perfection. This will now be a regular for us. The best food I’ve ever had in chesterfield. Has to be tried or your missing out!! Just excellent. We went because a few people we know raved about how good the food was but I didn’t expect it to live up to the comments. It exceeded expectation. Can’t recommend enough. Looking forward to trying the takeaway now! We will be regulars to Divan.

I was in town for business for a few days and the restaurant in the hotel had little choice. Across the street is this cozy restaurant where I ate a few times during my stay. This Turkish restaurant has a large selection of authentic Turkish dishes and is run by a family, father, mother and daughter. The dishes are delicious, the service very friendly and the dishes price-wise very good in relation to the quality! Definitely come again if I get the chance.

WOW! This is the third Turkish restaurant we have visited and by far this is THE BEST! Requesting a table was easy via the website and as there wasn't long between the booking time requested and arrival time the lady not only confirmed via email she also called me to confirm. Upon arrival the lovely lady was very welcoming (sorry I can't remember your name). Food was absolutely amazing. Starters were delicious, we had a sharing platter main course for 2, the presentation was on point and everything about it just tasted so nice. Husband really enjoyed his beer too. We would highly recommend this restaurant, we will most definitely be back! 😊 many thanks Pauline & Nick x

Fantastic Turkish/Mediterranean food and great service! It was my second time at The Divan and it was as good as the first- great food and large portions and the staff are incredibly welcoming. We got a free dessert as well, which was lovely. All the food is cooked fresh, so our mains were adapted to be vegan-friendly. There are lots of vegan and vegetarian starters too.
