Buckingham's Hotel

The hotel is a family run business and is all the better for it. The staff are warm, friendly and extremely helpful. The food is of a high standard, although as it is only a few minutes walk to the town centre there is a wide variety of choice if required. A warm welcome is guaranteed as is a good night's sleep.

Owner was amazing, we had problems with our hotel at 3am (it was noisy and cold, the ibis) and the owners of Buckingham’s Hotel opened up at 3am gave us a lovely room. The most amazing breakfast with everything homemade from yogurts to sausages, and plenty of complimentary beverages. We would defiantly stay again.

We dined in the restaurant with one table. Whilst it is expensive, you do get the full experience and I didn't leave disappointed overall. There is no menu, you simply let the Chef know in advance what foods you dont like and he'll cook something that you do. My only word of warning is don't go with fussy eaters because everyone gets the same meal. When your meal in served the Chef comes to the table to talk you through the meal you've got. As I said, some of the price is justified by the experience, I would take someone here if I were trying to impress with something a bit different.
