Mutiara Restaurant

We have been coming to this restaurant since 2014. The food is always excellent, the service is always brilliant whether we are coming for date night or a big family meal. I always enjoy coming here, I would recommend the salt and chilli squid our family favourite! Many happy memories here and more memories to be made! A brilliant local restaurant that has never let us down and has always been fantastic.

Visited last night 6th September for the first time for birthday family get together. Not sure about the negative reviews as we all enjoyed the food which was the all you can eat menu which is competitively priced as are the drinks. Service was very good and attentive. We were the only ones in but it was a Tuesday early evening so possibly the norm, anyway this did not detract from an enjoyable evening. Thank you.

The food was amazing. The only problem was the communication barrier. I understand if you want an authentic experience its always better to go where the actual people from that country work at that type of restaurant but come on the majority of your customers are English so you would think your front of house waiters would be able to speak more than 2 words. But still didn't ruin the experience was quite funny.

We went for an all you can eat menu with 4 children ages 4, 6, 8 and 9. The staff were lovely when interacting with the children and really made a fuss of them. The food was absolutely delicious, I would say their chicken chow mein is probably the best I’ve had. The chilli shredded beef was crispier than any I’ve ever tasted. The waiting times were very reasonable, as was the price. As a family of 6 with bottled Coke and 5 puddings, we ate for £108. Considering the food we ate and the good choice on the menu we were very happy with the price. I highly recommend trying this restaurant. We will definitely visit again soon. Thank you

First, we love the starters in this restaurant, we've never had such varied and quality in the starters at any oriental restaurant. Chineses, Malaysian, Thai and Japanese all on one menu! If you go here and order the standard starter platter your mad! We had some friends visiting us and decided to take them here for some food. They absolutely loved it. In there words they've never had such tasty and good quality food in a restaurant. They wanted 3 lots of the King Do Pork Chop (it is amazing!) and 2 lots of the Salt & Pepper Squid (never chewy or low quality). If you don't get round to ordering mains (your too full), then you've done it right! Also don't waste time ordering takeaway, go in. You get far more for your money and it's piping hot when it comes out!

This restaurant is one of my favourites in Chesterfield. The prices are great for the food and for an to order all you can eat. The quality of food is above the standards seen at other restaurants. I'm a vegetarian and they will happily do there best to cater to your diet needs. At that I've been eating here for years and I have to say the meat from what I remember is great too, including the seafood.
