Southern Taste Diner

Amazing!!! Among the best southern food I have ever had in a restaurant. The flavors of everything were incredible. The fried steak melted like butter in your mouth, the scrambled eggs were a fluffy delight, and the seasoned potatoes went perfectly with it all. The shrimp and grits was so savory and the fried eggs were cooked perfectly!!! Was not expecting such a big glass of sweet tea which was also good. Next time I go I want to try more things because everything sounded so good but it will be hard to beat what already tried. There is a wide variety of options both savory and sweet (even some more healthy options).

This restaurant is in a good location, and food and service is very good. Hubby gets his fill of liver and onions, which he claims is excellent. The lima beans are cooked as I would cook them. Real mashed potatoes. The chicken fried steak and gravy is good. Wasn't a fan of the burger and fries... just okay. Everything else we have ever had is spot on though. If you like country cooking, you should stop in.

This is a great quaint little place that has wonderful Southern charm. The breakfast menu is extensive as well as the lunch menu. Everything was prepared perfectly and delivered hot. My eggs were perfectly runny like I ordered them. I was a little disappointed that there was only one piece of toast for my two eggs but it was no big deal. The home fries were cooked perfectly. I was thinking about giving this place a one-star rating because once people find out how good this place is they're not going to ever be able to keep up with the amount of business they'll have. The service was excellent. They also have a full bar. We will be back.

Omelette was very rubbery and tasted processed. It seems like they cooked the eggs and then just throw whatever ingredients you ordered inside the middle of it....not cooked all together. Cheese wasn't even melted all the way through. Bacon was also undercooked. We were also never checked on during our meal, nor offered refills. Very small portions of potatoes and only one piece of toast came with our meals The use of plastic plates also just feels kind of cheap for a dine in restaurant. Overall the meal was very disappointing all around, would not recommend.

Food was decent. I run a small cooking business myself so I love trying other aspiring places. Decor and location is good. Staff was friendly didnt have to wait long for her. I placed a TOGO order I did have to wait for it but I called and asked them not to make it yet ,because I was running errands before and intended to stop on my way home. The apples were cold as soon as they bought my order out but I had to wait for the order because she said it wasn’t finished. I didn’t say anything because they could’ve put them in containers first and as a owner myself I know things get cold fast. However upon getting home the food and trying the food it wasn’t a wow for me as expected. The salmon cakes were good but did taste like the oil or whatever it was cooked in wasn’t fresh so it had a lingering oily/old taste. Also the eggs had no salt or pepper and were just very bland. Home fries are decent not much flavor however they don’t give you many. Apples taste like they came from the can with extra spices and flavor added. I would like to try this spot again because it has so much potential. I will try lunch or dinner maybe next time, as I got breakfast this time .

This place has great food and very reasonable prices. The only reason its not a five stars. Is the service could improve some. I realize the staffing issues, as well as other issues restaurants currently face. That being said they need a better wait system. I shouldn't have to stand awkwardly for 10 mins without anyone acknowledging my presence
