Bird Cage

Went for a last minute breakfast at the Birdcage. So glad that we did as the food was excellent with friendly service. The quality of the food was very good, particularly the black pudding. Small inside restaurant area with nice contemporary decor. Will definitely visit again to sample the lunchtime meals.

Thank you so much for catering for a baby shower!!! There was so much selection on the afternoon tea for only £14.99 by far the cheapest in Chesterfield and with lots of extras such as quiche, pork pie, and macaroons. The food was delicious, Rachel was brilliant in providing gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options for the afternoon tea with just as much choice as a regular one. All the staff were lovely and we were able to reserve the whole terrace for no extra cost to host the event. The food was so nice and there was plenty left over, staff were attentive and provided great customer service! We will definitely be returning!!

Absolutely amazing little cafe just down from the Cineworld at Chesterfield. Food was superbly presented and tasted mega and I only came in for breakfast but they do also serve in the evening and have a bar... The pitcher and pizza night sounded like a must go to! Only complaint is the only real parking is at the cinema complex but yoi get 5 hours free there and its only a 5-10 minute walk down the road!

This is a lovely little place, with seating indoors and outside. I don't know whether there's any level access at the back, as we went in at the front. There's a small step. We had lovely coffee and cake. They had gluten free cakes, and oat milk for my daughter's coffee. I'd recommend this café to anyone who wants nice cake and coffee, and where the place is nice and clean, with friendly, helpful staff.
