Myself , my wife and her freind recently stayed at the Chichester Inn to attend a wedding nearby, we loved it the room was great, as was the breakfast, both normal and vegetarian option. The food was lovely in the evening and the owner and staff very friendly and welcoming. The location is great only a couple of hundred yards from the cathedral and the Bishops Palace gardens behind the Inn a lovely. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and will definitely return.

A proper pub, good wine and nice service, outside sitting. Recommended

Very unassuming. Tiny bar thru the main doors. Then you go thru to the back and it's a nice size bar thru to the garden. On a Friday night it's buzzing and heaving. Great atmosphere and friendly service.

Great two night stay with my mum. Staff couldnt do enough for us. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast was well cooked and plentiful. Had dinner one evening which was also good value. Short walk from the cathedral so central without being in a noisy area. Will definitely be back.

Perfect for travellers doing the historical route around the UK! Amazing service, met by the owner on arrival & the bar staff are amazing. Hot shower, comfy bed in a good sized room with coffee and breakfast!!!

Lovely old pub, a mixture of traditional and modern interior. Located just a short stroll from the Cathedral in West Street where the old West Gate to the City stood, with very easy access to the nearby City Walls.
Very welcoming and homely front bar, spacious back bar and lovely beer garden.
Staff are very friendly and accommodating.
Good selection of beers; Harveys Best from Lewes is an ever-present favourite accompanied by several regularly changing guest beers on cask, a number of of keg bitter, lager and cider options available too.
Very good food served here too, at extremely reasonable prices.
Reputedly haunted by a Roman Centurion, but l haven't met him yet!
Highly recommended.

Brilliant room value. Good size, nicely furnished and with all mod cons. Didn't have air con but didn't need it. It was 30°C that day. I said oh this room is nice and cool do you have air con and they said no, it was just the window open! But I suppose being close to the sea an afternoon sea breeze was doing the trick. Then breakfast was everything you'd want and in a very pleasant, light and airy room. Parking was free and off street and it was only a short walk from the cathedral and the city centre (which I really enjoyed too). Top marks from me!
