The Foundry

We decided to go for a "Steak Night" while our kitchen is being installed. Well, we are so glad we went and we'll be back. The steak was succulent, tender, tasty and cooked as we requested 😋 We often go into this pub for a drink, Tayto Crisps and Irish sports as it is local to us and it's a friendly, clean, social pub. Next to the railway station and bus depot so worth the journey or park nearby. Just try it and you'll realise what you've been missing.

Happened across this pub, and it's an absolute gem. A busy, lively space indoors with a wonderful outdoor garden. The bar staff are 'on it' , paying close attention to a crowded bar and making sure everyone is served in turn, thus generating plenty of revenue for an ideally placed pub for goodwood racecourse. Shout out to Maddie who worked particularly hard on a busy shift filled with race goers before and after. A perfect venue for a drink prior to the races, and a party till 3am.

Very pleasant staff. It was quite busy during our visit but more for drinkers than diners. We arrived a little before 8pm. I can not fathom how amazing the food was. The best halloumi fries ever. I usually have these at every eatery where possible. I said this to the manager (i think) who was bustling around being busy that they were the best Id had and he said they had recently changed the supplier. Great Choice there. I had the scampi main and again, well presented, excelling serving size for the price! And I also had the chocolate brownie desert, again for the price it was excellent! Happy place. Only thing is our table was right under a speaker so we had to shout at each other but i suppose the time of night didnt help. Would definately recommend, I shall be re visiting in the future.
