Excellent cake!🍰 A lovely place to visit after going around Chilham Castle gardens, which has no tea room.
The Church Mouse is very cosy, with tables squeezed into two small rooms, plus tables outside in the sun. Staff are very friendly and the service was quick. Not sure if there are customer toil
A classic English tearoom in the Tudor Square of Chilham village. Friendly and fast service and very good cream tea. The owner says that the tearoom was used for filming Emma and Poirot (Chilham itself has also featured in many period telly programmes).
Lovely village tea room in Chilham. Fabulous home made cakes. Also does light meals. Two coffees, cake and a scone with all the trimmings, around ÂŁ13. Recommended.
Absolutely amazing food- prepared fresh. Mindfully sourced produce. Scones and English breakfast tea are out of this world! Moat definitely will be going back. Super quaint building, family friendly. Staff are a delight.
Yesterday we had a fantastic afternoon tea for three at the Church mouse. The owner was extremely attentive and even brought out a special tea cup for our 6 year old daughter to drink her apple juice from. Everything was so fresh the scones were still warm and to be honest, we are in Cornwall and D
Lovely setting . Lovely coffee and lovely sausage sandwich all set in the stunning village square of Chilham
We stopped here for drinks first, went for a walk and then came back for lunch as we found out they could cater for my sons dietary needs. Service was lovely and personal. The guy did apologise about the coffee machine not working but we could have anything from the menu, if we wanted coffee, it wou
Now under new ownership and name which is great news for customers.
Excellent quality food, very friendly staff, set in a beautiful village square.
Sausage baguette was spot-on. Clearly use quality ingredients.
Our go to tea rooms now.
Lovely friendly tearoom in the heart of the village. Lovely owners and quality food. A real treat.
Stopped here for breakfast before our hole to Canterbury. Breakfast was delicious. Serving are large. The service was amazing. Filled with a bunch of local people who all offered opinions on what to have.
A huge selection of fresh baked cakes. Took a carrot cake for a snack on the wall. Wish we
Best scones for miles around. They’re incredible! Delicious sarnies too. A friendly service and a beautiful village location. Quintessential English tea rooms. What more could you want??
Myself And my husband enjoyed a cream tea here today, lovely cosy and quiet little tea room, fair prices and really good food!
The staff team were lovely and made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in!
Looking forward to coming again!
Found this lovely little tea rooms by mistake and what a treat
We were made to feel very welcome by the owners
I had a cream tea with the plain scone and it was the best scone I think I’ve ever had
Will definitely return and I can highly recommend a visit
A lovely tea room, I do like it.
Basic but very welcoming. Stopped in on a very wet day, and had the most lovely cake and coffee. Warm welcome, and reasonably priced.
A cosy spot for a sweet treat or a light meal in picturesque village square. The cream teas are generous, one scone is enough for two people.
Excellent. Haven't been here since the regime change a couple of years ago (formerly Shelley's tea room) & was concerned that the things I liked most about it (large & excellent scones!) might have shrunk in the interim, but not a bit of it. Bacon & mushroom sarnie, large fruit scone, pot of tea, al
Did I actually order two scones for myself? Yes I did, and that was a bit much... did I finish them both? Yes of course because they were delicious!
Treated to a belated mother's day afternoon tea by my daughter. Staff were so attentive, and the food was excellent. Four different sandwich fillings, scones with jams and clotted cream followed by LOADS of cake with as much tea as you could drink. Will definitely return.
