I can't say enough good things about this place. We needed a quiet place to stay for a family event in Buxton and found this little gem. Everyone there is incredibly nice and thoughtful. The room was comfy and quiet. This is clearly a known good dining location but even so at the last minute they accommodated our large (last minute) group. We definitely hope to return soon!

We were staying in nearby New Mills and we passed this place afew times and decided to have lunch there on our penultimate day. It didn't disappoint, staff were very welcoming and the food was excellent. If you are in the area it's well worth a visit.

We stayed overnight in September before heading to Manchester Airport the next day, and what a fabulous start this was to our holiday. We checked in as soon as we arrived after being greeted warmly by the staff in the pub, and then had a couple of drinks in the bar area before moving into the dining area for our evening meal. Food choices were excellent, and our meals were well presented and very tasty... a credit to the chef! As for the rooms... Wow! Spotlessly clean, loads of little extra touches with a cosy country feel. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower, which was lovely, and a very high standard of fittings throughout. Breakfast the next morning was excellent, and the staff couldn't do enough to make our stay feel special. I have already recommended The Lamb Inn to family & friends, and I can't wait to return. Thank you for your hospitality 😊

We hadn't booked. We were accommodated with 1hr 15 mins before our table was required.... the staff did not rush us, the staff know what they're doing, I was stressing, it felt like there was no urgency to take our order, I was against the clock... in the end, my attitude was.. well, they put us here. They can't turf us out if they get it wrong! Well, they didn't, no need to, service was amazing, food glorious, can't wait to come back, booked, obviously 😀

We came here when we holidayed last year and absolutely loved it. We just had an amazing meal again, my partner had the lamb henry again and I had the 10z fillet steak and swapped my chips for mash without any hassle [can be a bit of a hassle when eating out back home in birmingham]. The staff are very nice and the location is beautiful. We did try to book online but I think its only for rooms so we went in in person to book for dinner as they shut part way through the day I believe. We were glad to reserve a spot though because we definitely wanted to eat here before we went home! Really good prices for great food that was done quickly and with nice people.

We just turned up at lunchtime, and the lady kindly fitted the 5 of us in. The staff were helpful and friendly. The food was beautiful. The pub is old and interesting, and in a lovely part of the country. Definitely go there again.

Visited with family for a meal, food was lovely and service great. The only small downside was the toilets. I am disabled and struggle with normal toilets. I do understand that due to the age of the building that nothing can be done with regard to disabled toilets but just the addition of a handle (small rail) on the walls either side of the toilet would make such a great addition. They wouldn't be in the way but it would enable someone like me to be able to rise without a pain. Please, please take note.

We stopped for here on the recommendation of the Lantern Pike which is not open for lunch. The menu was well thought out and the food was superb. The setting was just as one idealises about an English pub. Nothing was too much for the staff and the car park had masses of room.
