A nice place for a beer in Chippenham. Real ales were good. Sort of traditional agricultural local feel. It looks closed when it isn't.

Probably one of the best pubs in Chippenham. It has a decent number of ciders and beers on tap. Prices are reasonable. Seats aren't comfortable at all so I think they could some new furniture to sit in. Bar snack choice is nice as well. Service could be friendlier.

Very unfriendly , unwelcoming bartender . Went there on my own whilst on the working trip in Chippenham. I ordered a glass of wine took a seat , finish my drink and left , leaving the empty glass on the bar .
The bartender chased me on the street shouting that I stole the glass !

Its interesting what they have done with the place..The beer range while very drinkable...lacks depth it's all very much of a muchness..they brew it all in malmesbury...but it lacks variety...no real hippy beer... great lady behind the bar...she is a real asset and doubtless holds the thing together...you still bang your head coming out of the toilets...

We went to The Flying Monk for the first time on Saturday to see a Rocky Horror inspired drag show.
It was the best night I've had in ages. The atmosphere was very friendly and much fun was had by all.
Please do something similar again because I know we will all want to come. Thanks. 😁

Nice feel to it. Very friendly with nice staff and locals. Great range of beer at reasonable prices (£4 a pint). Very central location
