Great atmosphere, very welcoming and close to town and the train station. A good old fashioned boozer, sports on the telly and a good range of reasonable priced beers 🍻

The Black Horse has currently placed itself as a semi-nightclub, which stays open much later than other Pubs. So all the late-night drinkers end up here. It serves this purpose well, and it's more ordinary Pub earlier in the day. They've recently taken out their small dancefloor, and converted it in a DJ area. This works very well.

Edit. Went recently Friday the 16 th. and was nice to see pubs still getting business. Lovely bar staff. Nice outside tables and canopy. Negatives were I was constantly walking in the toilets to be blocked by people who seemed to like sniffing things from paper? And rubbing there gums ? Will return as it is a nice chilled pub but won't stay as late as last time. Might have been a one off. Management seem to agree with keeping things legal which is good.

lorna and jake have turned this place around. when you consider that half the time they have been here its been closed due to lockdown. everything is being done as quickly and safely as possible and this is all done with smiles on there faces.
