Came in the pub today! Lovely pub, good beer & landlady very welcoming - 5*. Enjoy your holiday!
Open mic night is supported by some of Cambridgeshire's finest musicians, including the very talented Jay Greenfield.
Lovely pub with a lovelt beer garden. Only problem is that we didn't find a baby change facility so had to use a table. Plus not very buggy friendly. But a very nice pub and staff were kind and helpful.
There is parking round the back but not much. Not overly wheelchair friendly as there is a step to the toilets and no access for wheelchair at the rear of the pub from what I could see.
A really nice village pub in this beautiful village in chippingham, people were really friendly and the bar staff were exceptional. The pub had a nice country feel to it with a nice look, nice pub garden to the back and seating outside front with tables also, doesn't do a lot to eat so just really for drinking with the odd grub, not as a pub to eat in for an evening meal but if you want to chill and have a drink it's perfect. Nice atmosphere A+++
Great little pub and owners! Havnt been lately but do miss my Friday trips!! Be back soon with my friend!👊
Very homely and welcoming pub, Beverly and staff are brilliant. Great Sunday roast as well. Highly recommend it and home made ice cream was unreal
Very welcoming, nice to sit outside watch quiet part of the world go round.
We came here as a group of 7 for the Sunday roast and everyone of us said how amazing the food was, staff were very attentive as well
Will certainly recommend
Lovely landlady and landlord.
Beautifully decorated clean pub, brilliant atmosphere. Locals are friendly and great company.
The Tharp Arms is just lovely. It has a very nice feel and atmosphere when you walk in. The staff are very friendly the beer is cool with good selection. And same eith wine and soft drinks They have nice outside space to enjoy your drink in the sun. They often have open Mic nights and various things going on. Would highly recommend this pub.
A really nice local pub! There's a large spacious car park out back. They do have a beer garden which I think sometimes get's forgotten about. It's often used for their music events held throughout the summer. Another popular place to sit in the evening is directly outside, as this is where the sun sets. It's not a massive pub with a massive range of alcohol. I think sometimes forget that this is basically the countryside and one of three amenities in this village. It's all too easy to be spoilt by Cambridge pubs. The locals are friendly and so are the landlords. Somethings are OK being what they are and in this case it works well!
No kids, no play areas, no food, no "riff raff," NO hassle! Just GREAT bar service, fantastic landlady and staff. A relaxed, friendly atmosphere with really nice customers. It's a jewel in the Suffolk landscape and the pulsing heart of a beautiful village. Just how real village pubs used to be. I'm so glad I found it. It reminds me of my local, back home in Warwickshire!
