Can't believe I've not added a review here after all this time! The Pewsham is our go-to pub in the Calne/Chippenham area. The owners, Chris and Harriet are lovely people, very warm, welcoming and friendly. The staff have always been attentive, professional and engaging. The food is phenomenal and the drinks are plenty. We have been coming for more than two years now. The renovations that have been done are fantastic and tasteful, the atmosphere is cosy and comfortable. I particularly like the separate sections down the middle with the bar to one side and a coffee and cakes, almost lounge area on the other. The garden room is great, particularly in the summer, and the garden itself is expansive. With a lot of attention paid to the children's play area. I cannot speak for the events the Pewsham puts on from personal experience. But my partner, who recently went to the country event, reports that it was well organised with everyone getting involved in the dancing. She also said she loved that you had all ages dancing along together! Thanks for hosting us the last two years. Looking forward to many more! Tay & Soph FYI, the Sunday roast is awesome.

Such a lovely place to visit. We've been there quite a few times now and the food and service are great. Everything very clean and food/cake/drinks are excellent. We would highly recommend a visit at any time of the day. For breakfast, lunch, tea or dinner. Absolutely brilliant place. Please go visit yourself.

We came for a meal for my daughter's third birthday. When the waitress heard this was the reason, she brought out a birthday banner and at the end of the meal, gave her a muffin with a candle in it which was so lovely! As well as this, the food was delicious, the service was quick and we had a lovely time. Our family that had travelled to eat with us were also very impressed! Thank you!

Sunday roast was delicious! Although it was busy, the service was excellent and the staff were friendly and polite. Despite having another reservation after us on our table, we were not rushed by staff (although a member of the next party stood over us impatiently..) The food portions were a good size and the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. Looked like an outdoor play area for children as well as outdoor seating and ample car parking. Would definitely visit again.

If you have not visited The Pewsham then you really should. It was renovated a few years ago and has been on a constant trend of improvement. We have been there for a meal before and the choice of food was delightful. They also catered well for my dietary requirement (gluten free). The food is a little pricey so check the menu in advance. It is well worth it though. We regularly go there for coffee. In my opinion, this is where it really shines. They have a really good range of drinks and an even more impressive range of homemade cakes. There is always at least one gluten free and one vegan option as far as I can tell. They have ample seating indoors and outdoors and the decoration is fabulous throughout. Finally, the children's play area outside is also great. You can sit nearby (if it's nice weather) and eat there too. This is one place that is always worth stopping off at, or driving or walking to. Well worth the visit.

Lovely pub/cafe on the A4 west of Marlborough. Large car park, good food the ploughman's platter is in the photo was more than we could eat. Lovely gardens with shady areas and a children's playground adjacent. Very good for families.

Absolutely superb. The gardens are well looked after with great views into the country. Fantastic for catching the rays with a pint or two. Inside the pub is great, with an obvious amount of recent work making it a lovely place to dine. The food was Spot on. Even the steak was cooked just how I liked it which is rare ( excuse the pun ) on a lot of occasions. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had a great evening and will definitely return.

Lovely to see this old pub restored to its former glory and then some. Loved the decor and the gardens are the best they’ve ever been that I recall. Staff were nice, food was good and all home cooked from scratch we were assured.

Myself and my bf stumbled upon the pub on a Sunday, late afternoon. It was fab! The food was so nice. Breaded cheese starter with red onion. Beef roast was nice, but the beef was a bit too chewy (and hurt my teeth) My bf had chicken and loved it. He followed his main with a sticky toffee pudding and I had the chocolate brownie. We only managed dessert as we had so long being left at our table that by the time someone came over we had space for dessert. Would be nice if the staff were a bit more attentive, but that’s all. Overall everything else was great!
