Refurbished sympathetically with the history of the pub maintained. We did not eat but the menu looks good value for money and cocktails at £10 for two whats not to like

What an amazing couple Mark & Chelle, they go above and beyond for their customers, children and dogs. The service was amazing f and food wonderful in a lovely inviting atmosphere, if we are ever in the area again we will mimosa definitely visiting, thank you Julie, Andy & Poppy

Popped here on the off chance they were still serving food. I'm so glad they were as it was great. Landlady served us who was also the cook. Free kids meals ( I had my 2 kids with us). Very friendly staff.very accomodating.Big portions.really nice to have music on aswell.we are here on holiday but have family in Shrewsbury so we will probably be back. Best place we have eaten in whilst in Chirk. I am a former bar and restaurant manager and I tend to look for faults in places,none here.

I just popped in for a pint at the end of a long walk - good beer and a lovely space in the front garden. Lots of locals were turning up to meet their mates.

Came here on a visit to Chirk and found this place. It had a good choice of beers and was clean. It was fairly quiet, and we found a seat not really noticing it was fairly dark there to find one of the bar staff come and turn the lights on, saying the pub was trying to save money which is a real shame. Later, we had live music, and the guy had a decent voice. Would definitely recommend this place, and I hope they make it through difficult times. The pub is a great place and hate seeing so many struggle
