The Chestnut

Fantastic family run cafe. I had Chestnuts cater for my daughter's birthday party for 40 people. Ali and team did a brilliant, brilliant job. Generous portions, fresh, flavourful food that impressed everyone! Ordered the Mezze platters which contains a variety of food - halloumi cigars, stuffed vine leaves, falafals, onion salad, hoummous, olives, etc and some of the best bread we have ever had! Also, very well packaged which made serving very easy. There was so much food, each of the guests took some home, much to everyone's delight. Highly recommend Ali's fantastic Cafe!

Me and my partner visited here for breakfast this morning, based on her prior (and first) visit here with their brother a couple of weeks back. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, which was great for me as I have sensory issues/anxiety revolving around noise (and too many people!) I had the eggs royale with salmon and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! I've never had it before, but knew it to be right up my alley. Definitely recommend! Had my breakfast alongside a black americano that was smooth and full-bodied - not burnt - that went down very well. I never dealt personally with the staff as such, but the speed of service was very prompt! Will definitely be returning in future, either for another bout of breakfast or their Sunday lunch!

The best breakfast in Chistlehurst and beyond in my opinion. Great service gets you a large plate of freshly cooked food. Many different choices but I have to go big - double sausage, bacon, egg, beans, mushrooms, toast. Black pudding and bubble are options. Healthy stuff too, but this breakie keeps you going all day, so in the end, healthy 😀😀
