Had some good offers on which made the pricing very good and all of the food arrived quickly, all hot and portion sizes were spot on.

We went for an early tea on Tuesday
There was hardly anyone in when we arrived at 3-30ish. We've found that this is an ideal time to go anywhere to eat. It's too late for the lunchtime rush, and too early for tea. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We ordered 3 meals and it came to just over £32. They have offers on and it's well worth it. My hubby ordered an Ultimate Big Combo. It was supposed to be a sharing starter but he had it as a main course for£10-29. What a plateful! There was Scampi, Onion Rings, Chicken Goujons, Chicken Nuggets, Garlic Bread, Chips and dips. My son had a Korean BBQ Chicken Burger and that was served with Onion Rings and Chips, another generous Portion coming in at £10-49. I had a Mix it Up which entailed a choice of one plus 2 sides plus a choice of dip. My choices were, Gammon, Jacket Potato, Coleslaw and Sweet Chilli sauce. Again a generous helping priced at £11-79. There were 3 pieces of Gammon on mine and I ended up bringing one home. There's a free car park, plenty room to move about inside so you certainly don't feel cramped. Plenty room for wheelchairs /pushchairs. Accessible toilets. My only negative is that it's looking a bit shabby in places, and actually that's down to thoughtless customers who do wanton damage. Thanks folks, we'll definitely be back.

Pub grub that is good value for money. Friendly & helpful staff! Attend every week for the quiz on Wednesdays & have done so for the last 12 months. Colin is fab & really makes the quiz fun having attended other Quiz Live quizzes he's definitely the best host!

Mixed reviews really, I wasn't overly impressed with my meal, but the staff sorted it immediately, everyone else enjoyed their meal. In fairness it was very busy and the staff were rushed off their feet.
We were 3 adults and two 12 year olds.
The chicken tandoori sizzler was good, the superspecial gammon was enjoyed. The sausage meal was also enjoyed. Sadly the 2 new Yorkers didn't have bacon and were slightly undercooked, but they were rectified.
I will try it again but not at the weekend 🫣

Absolutely fantastic family food pub. The service is excellent and the food has been spot on every time we have eaten here. Work in the area on a regular basis and this has become our go to eatery. We'll done team and management at the war horse.

We were invited out and had a really nice meal with our lovely neighbours and the servings were quite big. Very tasty and a good atmosphere. Will highly recommend.

Hadn't been here in years due to bad experience last time.
But returned due to word of mouth.
Was pleasantly surprised that the food wasn't too bad of value! Staff were very friendly and helpful too.
Has a nice little play area outside/beer garden.
Also helps when you can use your Blue Light Card for a cheeky discount too!
Look forward to returning.

The food arrived pretty slow and they got our order wrong several times. Many food items were out of stock. We had a good experience overall with a few disappointments.
