We arrived early this morning. Just after they opened for the day, we received a lovely warm welcome, and as we decided to sit in the snug, they lit the coal fire.
After ordering, not too long a wait for the freshly cooked breakfast to arrive, it was delicious, no grease on the plate, and very tasty indeed, well presented and good value.

Pleasant old pub, not at all like a 'chain' pub. Much of its 'internals' appear original with traditional shelving for spirits, lots of gues5 ales and an original 'snug'.

I had gammon eggs pineapple and chips and my wife had a regular fish chips and mushy peas. Both meals were really nice well cooked and plenty big enough good value 👍
