Stopped for a drink and a light meal whilst walking. Landlady and staff very friendly and attentive. Shame it wasn't busier but would highly recommend.

First visit here after a long walk with the 🐕.
Nice lunchtime menu but no fish on this day but not a problem.
Had the steak sandwich, it was really tasty.
Should of got 2 instead of the just the one.
But this allowed me a chocolate brownie.
Took our 3 dogs in ,they fell asleep under the table.
The lady behind the bar was very pleasant,friendly and helpful.
Nice beer too.
Will definitely go back soon.

A Great Friendly Pub with some excellent food. It’s a good welcoming place to visit after taking one of the many walks from its doorstep. Some excellent walking for all abilities.
Food has been available every time we’ve visited with something for everyone on the menu. I’ve got my favourites. If you’ve only time for a Coffee & Cake try their waffles with Ice cream & biscotti sauce it’s bloody wonderful!
Staff very friendly, accommodating, lovely informal atmosphere, nothing too much trouble.
FOOD My Favourite is Pan Fried Potato Slices, with Crispy Bacon Pieces and two Fried Eggs!
Ready to take the world on after that!

Wonderful family and staff that own it very welcoming even more so the dogs! You have got to try the German food it is amazing. There is traditional pub food as well.
One of my favourite places to go and one of the best walks around the 3 reservoirs.
