The food was awesome! I had been craving bao buns and decent dumplings. And they managed to cure my cravings :) Sal was super friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back.
Amazing place! Absolutely loved the food, (including a chicken chow mien which the owner very kindly made to request!) The Bao buns were delicious. Portion sizes were very generous, and we eat a lot! Can’t wait to go back soon :) - update: still our absolute favourite takeaway in Christchurch, was very excited to go back after lockdown and it didn’t disappoint 😊
While away in Christchurch. We had 2 takeaways from here. You need to go. The food is superb. It was hot extremely tasty and they use local suppliers. Everything that makes a top rated take away. The young lady that served me was very nice. We will be back.
My favourite takeout, love being able to have ‘Chinese’ food and it not feel really unhealthy, the duck rice box is my go to, and the yummiest pork dumplings. Food is always fresh and unique. I used to go when the shop was in Bargates and so pleased they’ve managed to keep it going now at the new kitchen locations. They were the first to do baos in the area, OG!!!! They use local meat and also have a lot of gluten free options. What more do you need! Try it now! Do it!
Ordered and picked up 2 bao (pork and duck) and a salt & pepper chips. It was all lush! So fresh and well cooked, and the portions were big!! We asked for a spicy sauce to go on the bao and was given and spicy caramalised soy sauce mix that was the most delicious thing I've ever had!!! Could eat here every night 😂
Wonderful food, and great ethics. I had the hoisin tempura tofu hirata bao and it was amazing. The vegan prawn crackers were delicious, especially when dipped in the house chilli oil. Next time I’ll try to get pictures before I eat it all!
If I could give this restaurant a million stars I would! The service was amazing the people are so friendly! The food was out of this world , by far the best takeaway we’ve had in years! Will definitely be revisiting and would encourage anyone to order from here :)

The Bao Bao house is AMAZING! All of the ingredients are so fresh, and very high quality. These really are the best Bao in Bournemouth, and the love and care taken in making this food shines through. Thank you for amazing food 😊
An absolute gem! These guys make the best food. Loads of options for veggies and vegans as well. Don't normally get takeaways, but will defo be going here again.
I would highly recommend the char sui pork boa buns or the lotus boa buns of you have a sweet tooth. The salt and pepper quorn is amazing too!
I asked to pick up my order at 6pm and it was all ready on the dot. The staff are so friendly.
