Mixed feelings at the table. Scallops were great as starter. Misto Fristo not that good. Mussels were nice. Filled blaice was ok.. dont be in a rush, kitchen needs their time. Waitresses informed us in advance. So it wasn't a surprise

Sunday - roast beef & veg, absolutely gorgeous, followed by rhubarb cheesecake. Great food, great staff, good value for money. And dog friendly too. We will definitely be back

Had a really good meal with family to mark a Diamond Wedding anniversary. It was special and all the staff at the Phoenix at Chudleigh helped to make it a special celebration.
Returned recently for a meal with my partner & the quality of the food did not disappoint. A really wonderful steak served just as I like was really really good.
Back in Chudleigh for a few days so enjoying the really good food on offer at the Phoenix. 👍👍👍

Great pub, clean , lovely atmosphere welcoming and friendly staff especially the lady who owns it.
Service was good and happy to answer any questions and accommodating.
Food was excellent , 10/10.
Didnt have to wait long.

Went in on the ofchance there was a table as we had not booked. We were greeted and attended to by a lovely lady called Ema (spelt with one M she informed me when I asked!) She was very patient when my partner had to ask about a certain ingredient that she could not eat and was very helpful and she was very personable. The food we had was superb and easily one of the best steaks I've had from a restaurant in a long time.

I visited the Phoenix in Chudleigh on Wednesday 16 October 2019 in the early evening, a weekday during term time. I was with one other person. This was my first visit. I used Google Maps to find the restaurant, which was easy and led me straight to the right place.
I parked in the street right outside the restaurant - parking was easy.
The restaurant comprises of one fairly large sized pub style main dining area with plenty of tables with full table service.
The team were very friendly and welcoming and I had no issues - we got everything we expected in good time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
I enjoyed a baked camembert sharer for my starter and a delicious chicken burger with added cheese and bacon with a side of onion rings for my main course. The food arrived hot, was well presented and tasted really good. There was a good selection of food and I found something that appealed to me easily. The food was very good value for money, I paid around £25 for two courses and drinks.
Overall I really enjoyed my visit and would definitely come and visit again.
