Stopped here on our way to Bristol Airport last night to pick up my daughter. Great place and great staff. The buy one and get one for free everyday, all day is superb and great value for money! Had the ribs, chicken breast and chips with corn on the cob. Piping hot and tasted amazing. Would not hesitate to recommend to people
We were on honeymoon nearby and decided to try the curry night, two for £12 including a drink. We couldn't have been happier with our choice, all the staff were helpful and welcoming, the food was absolutely brilliant and fantastic value for money, we were served in a reasonable amount of time with a large dish of curry and rice served with naan bread and a huge poppadom, our waitress was very efficient and we would like to say a big thank you, to all of you. There is a large car park, outside seating if the weather is nice and the decor was nice and cosy.
Ryan was an excellent host, although Ruby was definitely better to look at.
Will have to get there shortly after 5pm to see her. Conversation was sweet and short, a bit awkward for her, judging by her body language 😂🤣

We had a table for a party of 18 of us. All our food came out hot and together, no confusion no mix uos just spot on. Everyone in the party enjoyed their food and the relaxed atmosphere. Nothing seemed to much trouble for the staff who for the size of our.party didn't seem fazed. Thank you for accommodating us.
Could not fault this place. Book for 8 family members for my daughters 18th. It was a busy Friday with bookings and we were treated so well that I was so impressed with the staff and chefs that they handled all the parties so well.
Food delicious and hot. Charming manager and staff were very attentive.
Highly recommend for well cooked food and atmosphere.

Despite obvious staff shortages we had a pleasant experience. Food was presented not long after I placed the order. My wife had steak and cleared her plate. Everything was hot and well presented. Good old good pub food.
Excellent all round! A warm, cosy, traditional (but up to date) family pub with plenty of space inside and out. Dog friendly as well - I presume for well behaved doggies! Easy access and plenty of parking.
Really delicious, well cooked, beautifully presented, high quality food, served in generous portions and all piping hot. A perfect venue for a tasty Sunday lunch! Normal well stocked bar seems to cater for all tastes. Their prices are very reasonable indeed, and the "two for one" roast meals are really excellent value.
The staff are welcoming, helpful, charming, attentive and delightful - what more could one want? Very highly recommended: we will be back before long! Thank you for your hospitality.
Excellent food, just enough!! Loved the service and staff make you feel welcome and valued. Ambience was amazing. We will definitely visit again and try a different dish and hopefully have a desert this time. You do not feel rushed to leave the table either

We regularly go to the Stag and hounds as a family and I can’t say enough good things about this place. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and they are always so helpful and nice. The food is what you expect from a large national chain but that’s what I like about it you know what to expect and you know the quality is going to be great for the prices they charge.
Above everything the atmosphere and friendliness is what I love. We first came here a few years ago as we were buying a house nearby and thought we would check it out and the staff where so great we have always come back.
We have two small children who love the kids area and the menu choices which is always a plus.
Always a great experience when we visit and we will always be loyal customers.

Luke is a credit to the place, his presence and aura was like that of a Greek god.
My XL Bully Dog had a sausage from the dog menu and loved it.

A group of us visited recently and we loved it, food was amazing and so was the staff.. especially Luke, he was both comical and kind.
Luke was really charming and could sell water to a fish!
