The Thames Head Inn

We just went for a drink and some chips and honestly the chips were amazing! Perfectly fluffy inside. We had them with gravy which was a bit runny but tasted so good. The atmosphere was nice, it was a Saturday lunch and not too busy or noisy. Loved all the random decorations felt like a good English country pub. Would definitely come back to try a full meal.

Stopped here for dinner to break up a long car journey and didn't disappoint! The staff were so welcoming and the food was lovely and reasonably priced. Loads of food to choose from, from 3 menus. Kids loved the baskets! We sat in the nook which was probably the original porch entrance and it was so lovely!

Great traditional English pub. The food and service was brilliant. I had the Steak,Kidney and Ale Pie which was freshly cooked and was superb. My son's had Chicken, Ham Hock and Leek and Chicken Burger and they also thought their meals were great. Brilliant and extensive choice of desserts. The service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.

My family and I went last night, and had a fantastic experience. We were looking for somewhere to eat near Tetbury, and I was told to try the Thames Head inn. It was a last minute thing, so we had not booked. Luckily we nabbed the last available table. We received a friendly welcome, and was shown to our table. There was a menu, specials menu and then a small basket meals menu, which was great for our daughter. She had the scampi, my wife had the chicken burger and I had the chicken, leak and ham hock pie. All meals were enjoyed, with very good portion sizes. I can say that the pie just defeated me. which is saying something. The service throughout was exceptional, without being to intrusive. We will definitely be returning at some point to try more culinary delights 😊.
