Absolutely cannot fault this lovely village pub that serves the most DELICIOUS Indian food. Hubby & I stumbled across the place while staying at The De Vere Cotswold Water Park hotel when we went for a walk around the lake local to our room. We were made to feel welcome from the get go & after a few afternoon beverages with some locals we returned in the evening for the best curry we've ever had. We will definitely be returning in the fairer weather to enjoy a less muddy walk & another tasty meal. Thank you so much to the owner & all his friendly staff for the brilliant hospitality. See you in spring/summer 2024!

Extensive menu, with Indian food and other choices. We had vegetarian burgers in a nan bread with chips. It was lovely. Butcombe beer from 3.8 % to 4.2% and others. Good service and decor. Thoroughly recommend it.

Stopped for an afternoon meal, food was very nice. Liked the way they'd mixed traditional pub food with an indian style. Never eaten a burger in a naan bread with chutney and onion fritter, but must admit it was delicious, all of the food i saw served to our table looked very nice.

We booked a table for 7 people for Sunday 3rd September. The food, service and setting was just fabulous. We had walked 90 minutes from The Lower Mill Estate and we weren’t disappointed! Luckily for us we only live 20 minutes away and have already booked to return! Give it a whirl, you won’t be disappointed 😊

Great country pub setting. This is now primarily an Indian restaurant with a pub bar, and the food and service was good. The business appears to be up for sale so there are areas of underinvestment but everything will probably have changed by the time you read this review. Ample parking and a good pub garden. Dogs were welcome on the day we were there, with water bowls etc laid out.

Just popped in for a pint and a packet of crisps on the way home from a bike ride, very welcoming! The meals going by looked great.

Found the pub at the end of a long walk and was surprised to find it was also an Indian restaurant. The food however is more varied than just a "curry house". We were all pleasantly surprised by some of the nicest food we have had in the Cotswolds. Nice drinks and very friendly and efficient staff. Just great.

Revisited since it has just re opened again.. Still a lovely pub, cider is now Stowford press which is fine. Popped into The Crown whilst out for a walk around the area. It is a pub with a great atmosphere and character. The cider was Orchard Cider and was refreshing. The fire was going and all the staff were friendly. Haven't eaten here yet, but when I do I'll update my review accordingly. As a country pub and a stop off on a walk, it is perfect.

This is a lovely pub with amazing decor. The bat staff are friendly and the beer is very good. There is a very welcoming warm fire and is ideal for those of you on a walk around The Cotswold Water Park. It is dog friendly too!!

Booked in for the first Sunday Lunch under the new management and wow the pub looks amazing! Modernised with lots of nice touches on the interior and the food was delicious! Thoroughly recommend the Roast Beef, great portion size, extra gravy and leeks and the chocolate tart with sorbet. Brilliant service from Katy and the team! We will be back! 💜
