Stopped here after visiting friends, and I must say I am glad we did. Although we had to wait quite a while, as this place seemed to be extremely popular, the que was huge, anyway the staff were fantastic chatty and fast at taking an order.
We then waited for our hood to be cooked. I have got to say this is by far the best fish and chips me and my wife have ever had. 😋
So much so that we plan to go back just for some more fish and chips.
I do really hope that when we find time to drive back down, the food is just as good.. we will be back to let you know.

Everything perfect The only thing the fish have ever swam in is water - no grease here !! and chips golden and plump !! ooh er missus ! def recommend had 3 pieces of fish and wanted them in a box so no washing up very pleasant server nothing was too much trouble even though they were busy many thanks

Food is always perfectly cooked, best to order online as the shop does get very busy, and for good reason too, it's probably one of the best chippy's in the area! Staff are always great, polite and professional, and the menu pretty much suits most pallettes, well worth a try!

Have been coming here for best part of 4 yrs. Have tried other places, but end up coming back. The only reason I dropped 1 star is because the chips can be a bit hit & miss at times. This is especially so when they're not very busy, the chips don't appear to be fresh and taste like they've been re-cooked as they're rather dry and darker than usual. Other than that, I've not had any problems. The chicken burger is one of my favourites, it fills the bun and the salad is nice and fresh. The cod sizes are good and always nicely cooked. The prices are pretty average for the area.
