I am normally very critical of new places I try but not in this case. Hot, freshly cooked cod and chips with mushy peas and tea. Very polite staff and a clean well maintained restaurant. Most importantly good VFM. Will definitely be back soon.

Stopped to have the traditional fish and chips. We had our dogs so sat outside where it was warm and shaded. The place offered dining in and looked very clean and comfortable. The food was cooked lovely and served professionally. I observed the right protocol for not cross contamination and general hygiene. The food portion was very good and good value for money.
We will definitely be going back.

Went by reviews and it did not disappoint! We've had plenty of fish and chips around England and I can say this was easily in the top 3! Service was fast. Ordered 2 large cod with 2 medium chips and it was enough for us all (2 adults, 4 kids) The fish was perfectly fried, the batter so tasty and crispy. The chips were also so nice! Crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, just right. We always take our own ketchup bottle with us as can't have it without ketchup and these places usually charge for little satchets. All in all a very delicious meal and would definitely recommend.

We've only been to Clacton a handful of times and never eaten there so today we decided to find a chippy for cod n chips and eat in. I ordered a small cod and my husband the large. We also ordered a side salad and a portion of onion rings to share. I have to say that this was the best cod and chips I've had in a long time. Salad was nice and fresh too and the sweet chilli dip with the onion rings a pleasant surprise. The staff were very friendly too. Thoroughly recommend. And definitely be back when next in Clacton.

This is the hidden little place that you find by mistake and that you keep talking about it.
We took the fish platter for £14... A piece of cod, 3 prawns, 3 calamari, 3 scampi, chips and side salad.

Good priced fish & chips as well as a good portion size. I had a medium and was stuffed after. Kids meals come with a drink and for 6 of us it was just over £50 all with drinks. Dine in or take away.

Fish n chips don’t get any better than this. Great food, great service and all in all fulfilled my desire for fish n chips by the seaside.
We ate in, but there are outside tables provided for takeaway customers.
