Great place for Sunday lunch, menu gave one so much to choose from and the food was amazing. We had garlic prawns and apple and blue cheese as starters. It could be that my expectations were too high given the 4.6 Google reviews and the location. I had the lobster linguine which was quite nice but fell a bit short on taste possibly because the bisque was over oily. If it hadn't cost £30 I'd have been less disappointed. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to order a last minute takeaway as we had a guest for dinner and I had been unable to prepare anything. We have dined at the Averna and it has always been delicious food along with great service. On my daughter’s recommendation (As she has ordered takeaway a number of times) we decided to order from their takeaway menu. It went down so well with our guest that I was forgiven for failing to produce the promised home cooked meal. I can honestly say that it was delicious, very generous portions and such good value for money. I would highly recommend and will definitely order again as makes a nice change to the traditional takeaways. 👍🏻

Lovely restaurant, good food and attentive staff. Took my 3-year old for a birthday dinner with the family. Staff made real effort to make her feel special and really got involved to sing her happy birthday and dance as well - turned it into a real celebration that we will always remember. Thank you!

My husband and I stumbled upon this restaurant and we're so glad we did. We have been twice now and each time the food has been absolutely delicious and the staff extremely friendly. When you walk in, the staff are charming and the atmosphere welcoming. Fabulous wine list and mouth-watering menu. The portions are generous, and food is superb. A truly wonderful, authentic Italian restaurant.

Enjoyable local neighbourhood Italian restaurant. Service was good, and prices quite reasonable. Ambiance was very nice, quiet and relaxing.
The pastas I think were better than the pizza (which was still good), but the latter I think was a touch too salty due to the generous amounts of cured meat.
