Arrived with no reservation. Made very welcome. Menu card was difficult to read, had to use my torch!! Food was excellent. Opted for 3 course festive menu. Fab starter of potted salmon and prawns in lemon creme fraiche - very light and delicious. To follow salmon with herb crust, with samphire and the best mash I have ever eaten. Unfortunately no room for the dessert. Lovely atmosphere, service was excellent despite only two staff on duty. Well done to them. Would definitely return and recommend.

Great ambience. Friendly locals, staff were great and very attentive. Had a super burger (Captain’s Burger)… it was the best burger I’ve had in a long time. Butty Bach was the perfect accompaniment. Hunters Chicken was also excellent. A lovely pub in a lovely village. Recommend… 5 stars!

The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent and I can personally recommend the 16oz rump steak which is great. The premises are nice but the carpark can be a little cramped when busy as it was on the night we turned up. Our room was nice and functional with a shower and towels provided and the room has a fridge with milk ,fruit juice and yogurt and tea and coffee making facilities, the only downside is they don't offer a cooked breakfast as continental is supplied in the room and this is because there are only two rooms so is totally understandable . We would definitely stay here again 👍

We had an absolutely fantastic meal here! They went above and beyond to accommodate our large party (and dog) The service was brilliant and the food was to delicious! We would 100% recommend anyone to come here

Delightful local pub with excellent ale. Food options good if a little on the heavy side. Highly recommended though. Didn't try the accommodation, but given the cleanliness and attention to detail I'd not hesitate to book.

Me & my boyfriend had the rump steak & kitchen ribbs, we shared them both as the portions were so big! Officially the best steak we have both ever eaten! The ribbs were also beautiful as they were very tender. Hidden gem!

Decided to splash out on the Fillet steak and it was incredible! Cooked perfectly and melted in the mouth. A beautiful place with great beer and fantastic food. Would fully recommend

Attended today for lunch. Staff were amazing and the food was delicious. The food is very pricey, but I’m not sure if it’s pricey for the area. Would defiantly return if I was visiting again. THE BEST NACHOS IVE EVER HAD!!
