Nice little local pub. Owner very friendly guy. Food delicious and big portions. Had very delicious local lamb cutlets & got introduced to a local beer called Swan Blonde!
Great place in Whitehaven, Cumbria to eat. Especially Sunday Dinners they do the best. Brilliant staff and nice environment.
Amazing place. Lovely warm welcome, great staff and the food was delicious. No better way to enjoy some homemade food, but by the very christmassy open fire 😃
Just been to the Brook inn with Angela the meal was beautiful will call again
Had a family reunion last week. 16 of had food. The atmosphere, service and food were fantastic. I love real chips! My steak was cooked to perfection.
We ate here on a Saturday night and although they were very busy and we hadnt booked, they found us a table and served us quicker than they had advised us. The food was excellent and reasonably priced (we had drinks, starters and mains each and the bill for 2 of us was £47).
Fantastic food with great size of helpings. Will be traveling out of our way to return here for a meal in future - partner had "pie envy" although his own meal was also delicious! And the cheesecake for dessert.......!!
What a lovely little pub / bistro. We had a really nice meal here on Saturday evening, the staff were friendly and welcoming, the food was excellent, as was the wine. Well worth a visit !
This cosy pub does really excellent food. Stayed at Ennerdale Country Hotel down the road doing a leisurely c2c walk. Came here for dinner and so glad we did. Beautiful tender steak pie for me, chicken in a very tasty white wine sauce for my daughter, excellent parsnip chips, all veg cooked to perfection and well flavoured, and a large selection of interesring desserts. Coconut and jam pudding an unusual combination that worked so well. Nice selection of ales, really friendly owners who clearly pour pride and care into their pub and their cooking. Worth travelling out of your way to eat in this lovely place.
Theakston- is the best dark beer so far; couldn’t manage to find it in other places. Must be something local.
