Only had cake and hot drinks but both were very nice. Can recommend the cheesecake and the lemon meringue.

Great food and a hot welcome coffee. Customer service was of high standard. A great cafe and very well price. I would recommend the mars bar cake.

At very short notice was able to order two cakes for my son 18th birthday and my sister's while we were on family holiday in cumbria. Helen and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The cakes were extremely tastey and beautifully presented. Thanks for making my son 18th birthday very special.

I'm a regular at Pudding Lane which is a great little café that makes superb coffee (much better than the coffee served at Mawson's). We drop in often for a coffee and flapjack or love bread to share with the 'kids' (pictured).
However I have 2 gripes
1. Most of the cakes are bought in - they only do a handful of homebakes
2. Their opening hours, especially at weekends where they are only open on Sunday 9am -12 noon, and bank holidays eg closing over the whole easter weekend for example.

Don't let the small frontage deceive, this is a lovely little cafe for excellent cakes delivered with a smile. Coffee is ok, but the hot chocolate is much better.
