Had the 2 course pensioners special which was great value for money. We loved the atmosphere and were fascinated by the decor and history of the pier. The staff were just lovely, very chatty and helpful. Will certainly be going back on our next visit to Cleethorpes.
Lovely fish and chips!! we've been here a couple of times when we come and visit family. The staff are so lovely and friendly.
I had a Papa's extra large haddock with chip, peas and a pot of tea. I enjoyed every bit of it but needed to remove some of batter as a personal preference. Highly recommended as this venue isn't like a standard 'chippy' but set in a ballroom 👍👍
Amazing fish & chips as Always and the staff Jake , Lauren & Megan on the bar were amazing! So attentive and nothing was too much trouble! Can’t recommend this place enough x
For lunch, we thought we would try Papa's Restaurant on the pier and was not disappointed. We were seated quite quickly, and there is loads of tables.
They can get busy as it filled up quite quick, be prepared for a wait as everything is cooked to order, but it is worth every second of waiting, if you dont want to wait then they also have a takeaway on site too.
Now for the food, wow, I have personally never had such nice fish and chips, the food is impeccable.
The staff are polite and attentive. They don't constantly pester you, but if you do need something, there are plenty to ask.

Staff were really friendly and attentive with a particular mention of Andy. Andy showed us to our table and gave us a brief history of the building, Andy was friendly and knowledgeable.
We didn’t have to wait long for our food even though it was really busy.

Stunning building. Fantastic customer service. Amazing food, absolutely huge portions. Special shout out to Olivia, such a lovely, helpful and friendly member of the Papas team. All of the staff were so approachable. Would definitely recommend.
Staff are second to none, so helpful and polite, absolutely brilliant value for money. There was 8 of us food was fairly quick and the place was packed out. Brilliant location and perfect service. Wasnt hungry afterwards proper filled us up. Prices were very reasonable especially in todays economy. Would definitely recommend on a sunny or rainy day.
Love the fish here, the batter is so crisp and not greasy at all. The mushy peas are delicious as well! Unfortunately the service here can be a bit slow so it is best to allow yourself plenty of time to enjoy a meal. The location of course makes it worth the wait.
Had seen other people's reviews on here so thought we'd give it a go and wasn't disappointed health portions and not badly priced. It was quite busy but it was a weekend but plenty of staff who were all friendly and helpful.
