Mimis Plaice

This place is awesome! Best fish and chips we've ever had! But it didn't stop there... we arrived in the area after a very tiring flight. My sister and brother-in-law wanted to bring us some food so they phoned Mimi's Plaice to order. They were just closing down, but being such awesome people, the owner made new batter and had the order ready for pick up. It was the best fish and chips ever! A few days later we had another craving so we went back to Mimi's Plaice and ordered. I asked for extra malt vinegar and again, the owner's generosity shone. He gave us a brand new bottle, comp'd us a salad and some sauces and gave our little grandson some chicken and chips to snack on while we waited. Another amazing experience at Mimi's Plaice! We will definitely return ❣️

I ordered 20 mini fish and chips for a small party for a group of friends. I ordered it in advance (including amending the order the day before) the food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. I was also impressed with the paper/card packaging which could go straight into our paper recycling bin. The size of the fish was really generous and plenty big enough for everybody (some struggled to eat it all!). It arrived at exactly the time requested and was lovely and hot. Everybody commented on how much they enjoyed it. A massive thank you for a lovely meal. Would definitely recommend.

I have a family of six so had quite a large order to do. Thought we’d try out this place despite the odd couple bad reviews. Ordered 2 Large pizzas; one Meat feast and one Mexican, 2 large mixed meat and chips, 2 large trays of chips, 2 coke bottles and to top it off one large cheesy garlic bread. All I can say is food was top tier 9.5/10 only thing that would make it 10/10 if you ask to make the pizza have that crispy finish. Staff were polite, and the manager was in, he goes by the name Ali, lovely gentleman, very talkative and welcoming. If I were you I’d avoid the bad reviews and actually try this place for yourself. You will not be disappointed . Actually had ordered a large pizza for myself for the UFC 287 that was on this weekend that had past. Will be ordering soon again 💯
