The Blue Ball Pub Sandygate

We were here for a lunch/dinner and i can tell that is really good for enjoying. Cozy place and very welcoming. For the food i can give more than five ⭐️. Unfortunately we waited a long time until the food was brought, but there were a lot of people. For the dessert, we had a few of them and I can’t choose which one was better. Everything was delicious.

Tried this place yesterday after visiting somewhere close and thought we would try it out. Best decision we have made in a while, plenty of car parking, food is excellent, varied menu and every dish looks very good. We had the ham egg and chips (came with 2 eggs, always a good sign) and the burger, which was thick and good. Whilst eating, I saw the spare ribs dish going out and suffered choice envy! The staff were all excellent and we had a great meal. This place is well worth a visit if you are in the area

Stayed here last night, last minute booking. Arrived early, but the room was all ready for us. Staff welcoming and friendly. Had an evening meal and breakfast this morning, both excellent. My wife's rump steak was cooked to perfection. I had BBQ ribs, and the meat just fell off the bone! The full English this morning was one of the best we've had. The room was clean and spacious, bed comfortable and the shower was hot. 10/10 from us. Thank you very much!

Having searched for somewhere near Exeter we found the Blue Ball via the OpenTable app. On arrival we were very warmly greeted and made to feel welcome. Our table wasn’t ready so we had a drink and waited (we were early!) The food is wonderful and portions are large! For starters we had the mushrooms and baked Camembert. Our mains my partner had Brisket of Beef with fondant potatoes, kale, beans and a red wine gravy. I had the Sausages and Mash, with veg, onions and that gravy. A great pub serving great food with great staff. Well worth a visit.
