Sam and her team were incredible tonight. Hosted my wife's 40th and nothing was too much trouble, all of the staff were so polite and the food was incredible. Shout out to Alan behind the carvery who treated my 7 year old daughter to all the meats on the carvery and also called out my wife to sing her happy birthday. Amazing service and food. Thank you guys

I recently visited this charming pub and had a fantastic experience. The carvery was outstanding, offering a wide selection of delicious options. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcome. What truly stood out was the indoor playground for kids, providing a family-friendly atmosphere. The pub's rustic decor and inviting ambiance added to the overall appeal. I highly recommend this pub for a great meal and a warm atmosphere.

Had our Golden Wedding anniversary dinner here. Fantastic food and service. Lovely atmosphere. Nothing to much trouble. Really helpful staff when organising and everyone had a great evening. Everyone loved the food. The carvery was good and other meals were delicious and good portions. Would highly recommend.

My and my grandson's burger and chips tasted terrific, and in such large proportions that he couldn't finish any food for the rest of the day (and this was lunchtime). Marked down only because my wife was promised that she'd be informed when her carvery was ready but the pleasant waitress brought our burgers then left without telling her anything. So she just went and got it, while we waited. But I have to say that the food is excellent, they always seem to find you a table quite late into a Sunday afternoon without questioning - and the staff are friendly and helpful. £57 for 3 main courses, a pint, a half - and a Coke is a good price during this economic crisis. One thing we noticed when driving into the car park was that many parking spaces were covered in apples that had fallen from the trees, which had been driven over and squashed. This seems a waste in these times when people are using food banks. So on our way out, my wife filled a carrier bag with the good ones she found. Many desserts could be cheaply produced using these apples - we have been feasting on apple pie since our visit. But I thoroughly recommend this place - it's a real find.

This pub has a good old fashioned feel with a contemporary twist. Like so many places they appear to be struggling to get staff so the level of service is slower than usual. However, the staff are all professional, friendly and apologetic about wait times to be served. Carvery was great, good choices of meat and veggies, well presented & hot. Will definitely be going back soon.
