The first time I went was on a Saturday lunch time menu, the food was great and the cheesy garlic bread absolutely amazing! If I had only been this day I would be rating them 5 stars...
The second time I went was on a Sunday and was on the Sunday roast menu and I went for the 3 meats... the meats were a little bland and dry but the veg was lovely with some cooked to perfection roast potatoes... if anything my main issue was that there just was not enough food, I felt that our portion sizes were somewhere between a child's and adults meal and at nearly £16 I was very disappointed with this meal.

Beautiful country pub with lovely food. We stayed the night in one of the guest rooms and found it very clean and comfy. The staff were very friendly, we had a great time and will definitely be back again. 5*

What a find!! A real English pub, home made food. Pie was delicious and very accommodating with regard to allergies and intolerances. Local draft beer and very pleasant staff. Would recommend without hesitation.

We wanted a ploughmans lunch and searched online.
They did not disappoint! It looked well presented, fresh fruit and salad, chunky ham.... beautiful.
Service was good.
The only complaint was £2.50 for a small glass of lemonade, not even half a pint, out of the pump is a bit steep.

My partner had scampi and chips that he enjoyed. I enjoyed my sandwich but their was hardly any tuna mayonnaise in my roll.

Had my mums wake at the pub and it was superb. Lovely food and wide variety of drinks. Made us all feel welcome. Will definitely go back for a pub lunch or dinner. Thank you

We stopped off for some refreshment and food after a long walk and we were not disappointed. The food was fantastic, really tasty and generously portioned. There was a great selection of gins to choose from and my partner chose a beer from The Iron Pier, our local brewery. The two ladies working were really friendly and sorted out a small mixup with our order very quickly.
We'll definitely be back for food and drink again.

We went for a very last minute Father’s Day roast with our three young children today and were really impressed. The service was great, the food delicious and setting really traditional. The options were a roast, a roast, a roast or a pie today (not sure if always the case), but it actually worked really well in our favour removing the choice factor and all of the children ate really well, as did we!! Would definitely go back! My lamb shank was particularly delicious!!!
