What a great little restaurant to find in Cockermouth! We went for a birthday dinner for two and weren't disappointed. The staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. The wine was good and the food absolutely delicious. Prices were very reasonable. I will certainly come here again. Faultless.

The owner and his wife as well as their service are friend and helpful.
The food was very good! Having just been in Turkey 6 months ago, I must say the food in this restaurant was better than in Turkey.
We ordered a few starters and mains and everything was absolutely delicious!
My personal favorites were: sigara boregi (filo pastry rolls filled with feta), Ali nazik kebab (lamb kebabs on a bed of aubergine and pepper yogurt).
For dessert, the Antem Katmer is one of the best desserts I’ve tried!
Will definitely be back!

Had a decent meal here. The food is good but it is a bit on the pricey side, around £6-7 for a single mezze and £20 for a main.
We ordered three mezze, a main and a dessert all to share.
The mezze were good, just again a bit expensive for the size of it. Similarly for the dessert, we ordered baklava and we got two pieces for £6.50.
I would come back but it is not somewhere you can keep going to because of the cost.

Up here on business, recommended by a colleague. Wow! Just wow. Superb food cooked to perfection, quick service, I had starter, mains desert and coffee. The starter was amazing (sausage). The mixed kebab for mains was delicious. I opted for the rice pudding dish for desert (forgot the name) but it was absolutely lovely and a Turkish coffee to finish. I went at 5:45pm, quiet when I arrived but got busier, so you know it is good. Would highly recommend!

Really lovely place - the staff are very attentive and super friendly. Had a table booked just before Christmas and there were free Christmas crackers provided! The food is absolutely gorgeous and the portions are generous. Great atmosphere as well. Nice to have somewhere like this in the area offering Turkish food! Highly recommend.

It is a very nice restaurant, highly recommend it. Nice tasty food, lots of options and some nice drink too. We drunk a glass of white - chardonnay and a glass of red - rioja wine. Price are ok (for this time as everything is more expensive as was before). I think the small glasses of wine were around £5,75 each and the food were £19/each. We did not ask starter, but we got some flat bread with butter, olives and gherkins before our main. My dish was a bit oily for me but i am sure for someone else is perfect - lamb minced with spinach veges and egg on the top.
After the meal we drunk coffee -no dessert as we were full, i tried the turkish coffee, was realy good and i got some nice traditional information for that. The service was great and staff are really kind, nice, helpful and funny too. You feel they look after you and want to be sure that everything is going well during your dinner time. I suggest to book a table as they are very busy. Bathroom very clean and tidy. As the whole resraurant. Thank you for the staff we had a great time there.

Managed back to Aspava on our travels in The Lakes again. My wife, son and I have eaten there several times before and have always found it exceptional. It's a fair distance away from our home in Scotland which is a pity.
Stunning food, friendly efficient service and their new premises are excellent.

We had such a great experience and a lovely evening thanks to the kind and polite staff and especially the great food they serve in this cosy and beautiful restaurant. The Turkish specific restaurant offers you a vast selection of dishes accompanied by a good variety of drinks which are the recepy of a great day or night out. The dishes we had were amazing and I'm sure all the other ones don't fall behind either, will definitely return to this place and recommend it to all my friends too! The prices are reflecting the quality and standards this place offer. Enjoy 👍🏻❤😉

The premises are extremely clean with a delightful relaxing atmosphere throughout. The food is superb, it's sadly very hard to find decent authentic quality Turkish food in the area, which makes this establishment even more special.
Book in advance to ensure you get a table, you will not be disappointed.

Excellent. Clean. Friendly staff. Less time to wait. Chef is professional and qualified and there’s no doubt about it BUT VERY CHIT CHING. If you can afford then sure go for it to get wonderful portion size Turkish meat with traditional spices at the heart of the town. Recommended BUT expensive. 5 stars for taste, portion size and cleanliness.
