We were trying to find a place to have dinner and saw a line out of this shop! We came back later on in the day ten minutes before close and they still put two fish in for us! We got two cod, chips, a drink and a fish cake for £18! Fish was delicious! Would definitely recommend.
There was a slight queue when I arrived, usually a sign of good food, which was served quickly. Ordered 2 fish specials & 2 children's specials. The portions were perfect, the quality of the food was great as was the price. Would highly recommend.

Best fish and chips in the area. Always really busy so the food is always fresh, and lots of it! Sometimes it takes a while , but you can see it being cooked and it’s really worth the wait 😄

Wow - I am still sat outside the chip shop as a write this… these are beautiful chips, fish, nuggets and battered sausage (not all for me, #children). Great chip shop, worth coming here just for them. Amazing. Very reasonably priced too.
Ordered food by phone and allowed 25 mins so that it surely would be ready. Arrived five mins early and waited in the phone order queue as signposted. No food appeared at the alloted time. Finally called 10 mins after the collection time.

Second time we've been to Cumbria and second time we've been here. Food is lovely. Only negative was we ordered a few things. One was a hamburger meal. It wasn't till we drove back to were we were staying that we realized we never got chips or drink with the burger meal. Fifteen mile drive back so w
They forgot my gravy. But sorted it out straight away, even providing fresh chips. As for quality I'd rate them 5 stars easily. Really enjoyed the chips tonight. First rate.
Stopped here on a weekend trip to Cockermouth. Best fish and chips I’ve had for a while! Lovely salty and crispy batter, the fish was tender and chips were nicely cooked. Thank you!
