I stayed in room 1 in January and the room itself is beautiful !!!! Staff was very welcoming Joanne and Rachael made us feel very welcomed form to start. To top it off the food was beyond amazing seasoned and cooked to perfection I was so full and finished the whole plate as did not want to waste a mouthful (you must have the best chef in east anglia, compliments to the chef) thank you very much #thewhitehart, you go above and beyond for the guests xxx
Fantastic staff and good accommodation, clean, comfortable and good location
We were upgraded upon our arrival to beautiful room
Breakfast included in our rate also
Would definatley recommend staying here
Really old hotel. Employees were really friendly and helpful. Food and beverage prices are reasonable. Rooms are clean and tidy, but they are small . But we were only in them to sleep. So they were ok. The only negative/bad thing I could say is. There is no A/C in the hotel. But that is what you expect in an old hotel. Overall, it was a great stay. I would recommend this place to anyone who would like the old time hotel experience.
Stayed one night for work in a single bedroom. Room was all good, comfy bed, high standard of decoration and really clean. Customer service was the real winner, every member of staff I spoke to was a delight, really cheerful and happy to help. Had a lovely continental breakfast, delicious coffee and the breakfast staff member was outstanding, so upbeat and friendly, nothing too much trouble - which is a great fit for breakfast time 😀
We weren't at the pub very long, used as a base as we were attending a wedding nearby.
The service at check-in was great, informative and what we needed.
The rooms themselves are dated but comfortable.
Our room was fairly average, but it had everything we needed. As well as being clean and presentable. Exactly what you'd expect from a room at a pub. It was however perfectly located for the Houchins wedding venue which is the reason we stayed there. The lady at reception when we checked in and checked out was superb; very friendly and extremely helpful.
We , 26 of us, popped in for drinks after doing two local walks which included Nunns bridge and St Nicholas Chapel and The Abbey. We were well looked after. I would love to come again but it is miles from our home Recommended.
14 people in our party, all expertly served by one waitress. A little bit disappointed with my fish and chips. Was overcooked, I didn't complain as I was having a lovely time celebrating my grandsons 30th.
I can't really comment on the location as I was driven there.
Situated in the heart of historic Coggeshall this Hotel offers a good well stocked bar and spacious restaurant. Food can be purchased in the bar as well as the restaurant and either os very good.
Stayed over night, the rooms are basic but clean, comfortable and well appointed. The hotel offers Family, Double, single and twin rooms.
Breakfast was a buffet of cerial, yoghurt, fruit, pastries and toast as well as various cooked options. All well cooked and very tasty.
Decent rooms. Not bad beer. Burger I ordered was good enough but my colleagues weren't impressed by their meals. Friendly, professional staff.
Very friendly staff, meals were nice/amazing full English, and the room was comfortable. The building was old and had loads of character. Plenty of free parking. Would definitely stop again
Popped in due to a hold up on the A120, the staff were great, to the point of helping me get my wife's wheelchair over a step,we had a meal,my gammon steak was one of the best I have ever had, parking a slight issue, but car park not too far away, could do with a little tarting up, but then again it is a very old inn.
