We had a baby shower here recently where we hired out the whole top floor and the staff were fantastic as well as the wonderful space. It was a beautiful day and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Thanks for helping us make some lovely memories.

Very welcoming with varied menu. The staff are attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. Food is generous and delicious. Atmosphere is cosy. Kids welcome, three indoor eating areas and large outside dining area.

Really nice coffee and two of us had a light breakfast and I had toast and marmite. Very helpful staff. Sat outside with a lovely view. Picnic tables were a bit uncomfortable . Climbing over tables are a bit old hat now. The benches are quite difficult to climb over. The view is wonderful though which more than makes up for the uncomfortable tables. Good parking opposite the Pub which is a real bonus!

What a beautiful setting for really fabulous food! We could watch the sunset as we ate. It gets very busy and we were lucky to get a table but staff were friendly and happy for us to move the tables around a bit. The food was reasonably priced for the size of the portions and the quality of the food.

Mid week lunch. We sat upstairs and out on the balcony. It was sunny and sheltered. The food was good and the waiting time short.

Amazing staff! We came last second without a reservation as our original choice of restaurant had the wrong hours listed. They took us in and promptly took our order. They stayed on top of it making sure we had everything we needed. The food came out quickly and tasted amazing! My husband had the Angus burger and I had the seafood platter. I also added a hot chocolate with a shot of Malibu half way through. It has a cute interior with a coastal theme. The menu is simple with about 5-6 items listed per section. I'd say it's medium priced nothing crazy but not cheap either. We were very satisfied with our experience and would highly recommend.

Visited the Coast Inn today for an early dinner by the sea. The location is great sitting either out front look out at the boat yard or inside, and both dog friendly. They have their own parking too which is an advantage in this area of Mersea. Staff were very friendly and there is a great range of drinks including beers. We both had fish and chips that were fresh and beautifully cooked. Highly recommended and will be back soon.
