Pizza Express

Really good for a group booking with a lot of kids. The kids menu is really brilliant especially for lunchtime. As a big group we ordered lots of pizzas and shared. The service was fantastic too, the team were really helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make our lunch a good one. I didn’t catch the name of our main server but he was fantastic and nothing phased him. Thanks to all!

I had an exceptional dining experience at Pizza Express thanks to our waitress, Julia. Her warm and attentive service elevated the evening. Julia’s knowledge of the menu was impressive, and her recommendations were spot on. Her cheerful demeanor and genuine interest in ensuring our satisfaction made our visit truly memorable. I would highly recommend Pizza Express, and Julia’s impeccable service was a highlight of the evening.

My daughter and I popped in for a little impromptu lunch whilst passing through Colchester. The food was hot and tasty and served by the super friendly Lisa. Lisa couldn’t do enough to ensure we enjoyed our experience. She gave us her time for a little chat making us feel welcome. The food arrived quickly and all with a smile. Much better than other branches that we have visited before so well done to all.

UPDATE: Popped in for lunch last week, it was a quite Thursday afternoon. We were the only seated table during our visit, however there appeared to be numerous takeaways being picked up for delivery. A little disappointed that they had no Halloumi Bites (but means we shall have to return again to try these) As with previously review from over a year ago, restaurant clean, staff friendly and food good. (The Romana pizza base seemed different, the underside did not seem as crispy as per our previous visit, hence 4 stars not 5 for food). We would still recommend.. I noticed they advertised childrens party's, whereby the children get to make, master and then enjoy their pizza, sounded a really good concept. ....... Previous Review: Fabulous.. located just off the High Street, away from the hustle and bustle.. a real hidden gem. Having entered we were swiftly welcomed inside and shown to a table. The staff all appeared happy, they were polite and friendly. The restaurant had a lovely warm feeling and the decor was that of the typical Pizza Express chain. The toilets were located up a couple of stairs, (albeit I think there is a seperate entrance to avoid stairs) the the one used was tiled floor to ceiling and clean. The restaurant was clean and tidy, the staff were all attentive. The food was amazing. All in all.. well worth a visit.. We will certainly be returning, Great food & Great service.

I had never previously dined here, it was my friends birthday so thought we’d give it a go. We were really pleasantly surprised by both food and server. Phoebe introduced herself, was very attentive, efficient, friendly and energetic. She recommended some very nice food items such as the Romana base and cheesecake - we will be coming back for sure!

The food was nice, but more than that, the staff were so lovely and willing to go above and beyond - I was given an extra scoop of ice cream and someone else in our party got a free cheesecake as another item on the menu was not available! I thanked the staff member who was serving us after the meal as they were lovely and so patient when I can take a while to choose what I'd like! 💖 Highly recommended the garlic mushrooms with goats cheese, it was the nicest goats cheese I've ever had, very creamy 😋 and I don't normally like goats cheese!
