the food was excellent and the staff incredibly friendly, thank you Terry, This and the whole of your team.
The Pint was lovely, the Diet Coke a full Glass, the Steak lovely & Tender and the fish excellent.
Highly recommended.
We came out for a girls' lunch, had a lovely lunch, lots of laughs. The food was great, salmon cooked, great. Mexican pasta is lovely.
Sticky toffee for pudding and bloom lovely. If i could have licked the bowl, i would.......

Big portions . Had sharing platter to start. Mixed grill and then shared the massive icecream sundae. Food was tasty and hot (apart from the ice cream lol)
Although they were getting ready to shut for a refurbishment, the staff were very helpful and pointed out that somethings on the menu would be unavailable. But our food was really nice and the staff were very attentive. Will definitely visit when they reopen. Big thank you to Aaron for chatting to my grandchildren.
Absolutely love coming here either with the family or on a night out. The staff are always so friendly and helpful and try so hard to accommodate everyone's needs. The new manager that arrived beginning of the year has made our experience even better all the staff seem happy and willing to help. I honestly would choose here over any local place. In the summer all the children are always happy and it's a lovely environment. I look forward to the new refurbished place and will definitely enjoy Christmas here

This pub has taken on new management. My post is accurate as of the time of writing (February 2023) as are the pics. So let's go!
The Dog and Pheasant is a great neighborhood pub! The staff are absolutely amazing! They are very welcoming. They have been more than happy to help.
The food! So we ordered two Mix It Up (on a Sunday) with the 15oz (3x5oz) Gammon with sweet potato fries and onion rings. (See the picture). Liam (the cook for the visit) did his thing! The gammon was cooked to perfection! It was juicy and succulent and worked well with both the Korean BBQ sauce and the Texan Sauce.
There could've been more onion rings, but at the price paid, I'm not going to complain. But the sweet potato fries! Generally, most places, they're not thoroughly cooked! Liam, made these to perfection! Crispy on the outside, nice, fluffy, and soft on the inside. That is hard to do with sweet potatoes.
Peter is an amazing addition to the pub! He's very knowledgeable! He was extremely caring for our needs. He knows his way around a pub of this nature! Younger staff can definitely learn from this gentleman!
The ONLY reason I'm not giving them 5 Stars is due to an incident earlier in the week. There was a situation where a person came in and made some very upsetting and offensive comments. I had to address the issue. One of the managers actually stated something to individual. However the person was still served. I'm not a snowflake and have tough skin. However, he should have been shown the door!
Overall, great place! Great food! Plenty of parking! Wonderful garden with playground! This is a FAMILY pub! They're trying to get entertainment back. Right now there is karaoke once a month!
We visit the Dog & Pheasant every few months on a friday for their BOGOF burger deal. We usually get 2 Quadzilla "challenge" burgers and stuff our faces for around £14 total!
Its obviously not gourmet, but you get a lot of food for that price.
Service is fast and the place is kept clean.
Last time we visited we were served by one of the new managers called Terry; he was exceptional at his job and it was his level of service that made us decide to leave a review.
Booked online for 5 but there were a few tables available and staff were friendly and happy for us to sit anywhere, came on a Saturday evening so super specials menu were 10 each, and they were huge!! Great atmosphere, and you get great food for a decent price. Joe went above and beyond checking on us and food on a regular basis.
What a great family friendly pub.
We went as a large family for a birthday celebration. They could easily accommodate us as it is a large pub with a large and good outdoor area.
The service was very good and staff very polite and helpful.
Terry, the manager was on point and went through all the offers and saved us a good amount of money! He was very cheerful, friendly and helpful. A great manager! We all felt comfortable and welcomed.
The food was ready in a good time and the chef did an excellent job with the food. The pub was very busy as well.
The food was of a good standard and came out hot !
We would definitely be going back now it is under new management.
