This place is yet to disappoint. Each time I've been there, everything is on point, cooked freshly, well wrapped, steaming hot and very tasty. The fish is ALWAYS cooked just right and super flaky and the batter is perfectly light and crispy. Keep up the good work guys!!

Best fish and chips and pies in the whole of Colchester, better than any restaurant in the area. Been going there for 5 years and it is always consistent with amazing quality. Went tonight and although they didn't have 2 pies they accommodated us with fish no extra charge. Staff always friendly and smiling even though they were extremely busy.

Parked right outside. Lovely and clean inside with pleasant presentation. I was served today by Josh who was very helpful. Been going here on and off since I was a child. I used to know it as Peggotty’s (not sure of spelling). Thanks👍🏻

Absolutely solid chippy, and lovely staff/owners - definitely try it!
I've been here numerous times now, they have the classic selection you'd expect from a chip shop, plus occasional seasonal extras (E.g. Pigs in blankets). They also have a delicious vegan burger for those so inclined.
The staff have always been extremely nice, cheerful and attentive. Lovely food, great people - what's not to love?

Great fish and chips - I think the best in Colchester! Always nicely boxed in a disposable cardboard container. They also do the full range, pies, burgers, sausages and chicken.

Good portion sizes. We regularly use this venue and the new app might save you some cash too. They also offer senior portions, which are just right for smaller appetites. No errors on ordering so far.

Food is normally pretty good but occasionally you do get a portion of chips that isnt that great.
Kids food is usually ok and good value for money.
It can get pretty busy at peak times but normally you can get served without too much of a wait.

This is a very standard issue Fish n Chickn chain "restaurant". It is very small, doesn't provide any possibility to eat inside or outside. At busy times it can become very crowded. Food is decent enough, your standard fare of British fish and chips. Good for takeaway only.
